There's just a massive self hating amongst this fanbase. Look for any chance to belittle Leicester. I sometimes think they wanted us to return to this level just so they're happy being little old Leicester.

criticising the way we're run and the fact that we're not as appealing a job as we should be because of that is the exact opposite of belittling us and wanting us to be relegated? its anger that the relegation and the sliding back of the club has been allowed to happen and an acknowledgement of the damage done rather than a heads in sand "we've got history" attitude. History only goes so far to appeal, no-one worth their salt would go to Wednesday now, or Forest 10 years ago, because despite their history, years of mismanagement turned them into basket cases. Having standards and stating that we are not meeting them and are en route to being another basket case is not loser mentality or belittling the club, it's demanding the club do better

Think you've misunderstood who I was directing it at. The ones who accept it and don't criticise are the ones I'm talking about pal

Palace have improved because they hired a manager above their level. We need to convince somebody to do the same but cannot see it happening. Too ingrained with the agency laziness.

Top is too stupid/myopic to appoint the necessary football visionary and Rudkin is too stupid (or self-preserving) to do it.

The ‘interim’ MD is a sign on things to come. A terrible fit that literally no other club would do.

But it will take decades if not centuries for them to match our trophy haul, and that's assuming we never add any more to what we have.

We have the least proud fanbase in the country I am certain of it. We're the 5th most successful club this century, we've won every major trophy more recently than Arsenal yet we act like Wigan fans.

Because we’re ran like Wigan

TBF Wigan aren't far off Leicester :D

By any metrics Man U, Man C, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are the top 5 this century.

Safe to say Leicester 6th and Spurs 7th... can't think of anyone but Wigan and Portsmouth for joint 8th as FA Cup winners...!

What lol

Its more then that, like other teams they built the squad before bringing in the manager.

Build a young team, that fits a manager you want, only after the team is built, then move away from a pragmatic manager to that manager.

That is true but we got our success in part because we acted like a big club. Ambitious, almost audacious signings like Cambiasso and Tielemans, refusing to be bullied on transfer fees, even forcing Rodgers to join earlier because it is what we wanted.

That edge has gone. For some reason, we don't attempt to think big now.

Lucky for Top, he won’t have to pay for them

Not sure appointing the man that thought appointing Russell Martin would be a good thing.

Any developments on this? It seems a really important next step for the club so surely should be priority 1. If they appoint well,  it will put some much needed credit in the bank with fans, if they mess it up it will only serve to quicken the decline and the day they sell up. As Typical with the club, there has been no direct communication with fans or what to expect and by what date.

Cue the scenes on here when they appoint Martyn Glover.
