So how many of these overrated  show pony's  who don't want to be here, leave the building in June?

Ricardo, Winks, who else?

Ayew, Soumare and Daka. Although if at least one done end up staying on a new contract I’ll be genuinely shocked.

Thomas isn’t out of contract next summer.
Luckily these clowns gave him a 4 year contract extension.

He's in the 2029 column. I forgot to delete him from the 2026 column. Updated.

Next summer will be crazy busy regardless of what league we're in!

Only a club like us would be dumb enough to give Stolarczyk 2 contracts!! lol

I presume his is expiring in 2027?

Sorry, yeah another error. The club gave him an extra year, to 2027, this June.

In terms of out goings, we'll be be sclerotic at sorting out incomings again.

We'll probably appoint the technical director halfway through the summer window.

I can't another season of Vestergaard and Faes.

At least Soumare finallys sods off.

It’s just a shame that you can’t put your season ticket on snooze for a couple of years, I’m just absolutely wracked off with most of them! We need rid of the majority of our players and Top and start again, there’s just something rotten to the core with a lot of it now.

We could do with moving Ayew, Daka, Soumare, Winks and even Pereira in January for some £s even if it's minimal as the wages we would save would be significant.

Incomings then would depend on how safe we feel from relegation but the aim should be to use the academy guys and make James and Ramsey feel like they got a future here.

We somehow managed to get fees for Coady, Justin, Cannon, N'didi and McAteer. On that basis I maintain hope we manage shift Faes before the end of his contract.

If we can get rid of him on top of allowing Ayew, Daka, Pereira, Soumare and Winks to go, that'll be a solid start. Replace them with more players in the profile of Jordan James and we can hopefully start to build something worth getting behind again.

Even better if we manage to recoup some cash for Skipp, but that seems unlikely.

Plenty of money off the wage bill from the 5 or 6 we'll be rid of next summer.

Imagine we'll probably need to sell Fatawu to bolster the transfer budget, mind, given how tight PSR is for Championship clubs. Wouldn't be entirely against it.

Unless there has been a massive chunk of change found down the back of the sofa I would guess that there won’t be any funds made available to bring in players in January nor would any savings in terms of wages come seasons end be available . Failure to gain promotion this season will see a further reduction in parachute payments that in all likelihood will dwarf the wage bill savings  that seems likely at seasons end.

The sums paid out ( none) and players signed in the summer of 25 sadly , I believe, is the model going forward. In other words loan players or players on  the down slope the career, Academy players will fill gaps but realistically how many can we hope come through?

In the summer to stand still I would imagine that circa £30 million clear will have to be delivered in terms of transfer profit and I can’t see any real sums being made available

. I know this is gloom and doom but the numbers speak for themselves and when you compare say broadcasting at Middlesbrough where they generate £9.7 million and LCFC in the same year , in the same league courtesy of parachute payments was £54.1 million

I can't fvcking wait til some of them are gone in summer.

Ayew, Daka, Soumare. Three huge earners who have given us extremely little in return.

Shame we have to wait til 2027 at the latest to boot Faes, Vestergaard, Hamza, De Cordova Reid out. And longer for Golding and Kristiansen. And even longer for Skipp fvcking hell lol

You just have to really hope that a) there's someone competent managing recruitment and b) someone competent as manager who can manage a large overhaul of the squad, bring through youth and find the right blend of experience and youth. I feel most importantly we need some fvcking leaders back in the squad. And not just one or two. We need them around the whole squad.

Might not watch until 2029 then

You probs say that in jest.  I'm the same and I mean it. If players as poor as Luke Thomas are in the squad, what's the point? I ain't paying to watch players no better than me.

The only ones I'd definitely want to keep:

Begovic

James

Ramsey

Nelson

Stolarczyk

Alves

Fatawu

Ricky looks like he's on the wane but I love him and he can still be quite effective, so maybe him too.

Fatawu will be gone next summer regardless so kind of pointless including him.

If we can extend Begovic for another season as he can clearly still cut it at this level, sign Ramsey and James permanently and build a squad around those on the list above, I think we'll be OK.

Easier said than done, of course, lots of business to do (not our style) and probably requires real joined-up thinking and planning with either a manager who is going to be here for a while or a strategy that involves knowing what kind of manager you want over the next 3 to 5 years.

Also, some of the youngsters coming through may properly step up permanently in that time, so that could help: Monga, Page, Aluko, Gray, Evans, Hutchinson, Motsi for example
