Its his preference, i see no wrong in having a type of man

It’s just mad. When we signed Steve Howard you didn’t see anyone saying oh boy I’ve always wanted us to sign a big strong strapping white forward

It was a very strange post imo

I've always wanted big strong black forward, I remember when Traore used to boss Maddison acouple of years ago.

We are literally one injury to Ayew to have just Jake Evans as a CF whilst Afcon is on.

He can sign before the window opens same as Bamford.

If it can get him on 3-6 month contract.

Forgot a Carranza which tell you all you need to know

People need to get over this Jake Evans nonsense. Yes he needs to be eased in with 10-20 minute impact sub performances this season, but no way should he be starting games without showing that he can step up in those sub appearances.

I don't have faith in Ayew, Daka or Carranza, therefore signing Antonio on a short term deal is a no brainer in my opinion - definitely if we can send back Carranza in January.

That is what we're asking for and we haven't seen that yet WITHOUT Antonio being here. Is he going to get those important minutes if Atonio comes in? Debatable.

We need to be brave and committed in this evolution.

Signing him wouldn't make any sense at all. Hasn't played pro football in what, a year or more? No guarantee he's an improvement on what we've got, and has no match fitness to even give him a chance to show that anyway.

In his heyday, and pre-accident, it might be a decent gamble. Not now though.

People need to get over this Michail Antonio nonsense. Yes he was a good striker 4 years ago but now he's winding down his career, West Ham fans were saying he lost his legs last seasond and that was before the car crash, for a player that is reliant on strength and power that is incredibly worrying.

He had 1 goal in 800 minutes last season in the PL, those are Patson Daka numbers. After an injury like that he might not be match fit for the rest of this season and when he is match fit there's a good chance he's no better than the terrible 3 we already have.

We should be prioritising a player in Jake Evans who has a future at the highest level of the game, not someone who's best day's are in the past and who could retire tomorrow and it wouldnt surprise anyone. For me it's an absolute no brainer to prioritise Jake Evan's game time over relying on output from a 35 year old post car crash Antonio. I actually find it a bit silly that some fans see this as a sensible move.

Come on, there is a guarantee he will be an improvement have you not been watching our strikers this season

I have, and we can joke all we want about "my grandma could score more goals than Postman Pat", but Ayew, Daka, and Carranza are at least players who have some modicum of match fitness (less so the latter). Antonio is also older than all of them! We've already had passengers this season, we can't afford to bring in another one while he gets up to match fitness. If he was fit, maybe I'd consider it. He can't possibly be, after that much time without a pro match.

The coaching staff will have a decent take on his fitness level after a few days at Seagrave..  If he's in decent shape he can help this team !!

Heskey, Tricky Trev, Sir Les, Mark de Vries. Bring back the battering rams :D

Antonio is basically an older ( and arguably more skillful) version of Ageymang. The guy that Derby got from the MLS, who I wanted us to sign.

they are not playing him down the middle though which is a crime.

Exactly the kind of post I would expect from someone from LA called Crispin, who now resides in Texas tbh.

The people watching him train will be in a better position to know

It’s a panic buy. We are in December. He’s an ex prem player, with a decent record, without a club. Let’s not pretend there is any thought behind this if we do end up going through with it.

also the moderation on this forum is excellent - great work fellas, some of the shit you let through.
