So, according to the stats…

we don’t run

we don’t sprint

We don’t create chances

we don’t keep clean sheets

we don’t win challenges in the air

and we don’t win challenges on the ground.

Other than that though lads we are pretty decent

Ah but we DO make almost the most unforced errors leading to goals in the league. It's just not fair to say we are not good at anything

Yes to this

Thing is, there will be more bums on seats during the delayed entry than there was last night. Those who attended last night won't join in and then a chunk of those who missed last night indirectly due of the boycott, will also not join in. So if we assume the attendance was 12,500 last night, it could be 15,000 ish for the delayed entry. I'm not sure that sends a strong message. It will only be worthwhile doing if the stadium is less noticeably less than half full.

Hopefully that has sent a president and the attendance slides to deeper depths from now till KP decide to sell !

Keep it coming !!!

This will be ineffective unless the boycott persists

Is the boycott going to continue into the next home match - because all I have read about it - it was a boycott for just the 1st Home game of the season

If we want to make a stand, then the boycott has to continue (and the happy clappers that do turn out continue to boo like they did last night)

Even then I doubt it is hitting the press in Thailand, so Top won't notice for some time yet

Just marvelous! The one game I get to see all year and it’s a boycott. Sorry chaps I had to go with my boy as we travel back to California on Thursday so won’t get to see another game. Atleast we won.

The stadium was visibly sparse so many pockets of empty seats. West brommy fans taking the piss atleast we shut them up at the end. Marti barely in for me but Top needs to pull his finger out and take some action. We need fresh blood in January and throw Antonio up front

Deal is off. He got a muscle problem and it was enough for the club to pull the plug.

Glad you enjoyed the match with your lad.

Safe flight back on Thursday.

The sun article correctly points out a one match boycott wont achieve much, this needs to happen every home game now until he is gone.

Trouble is ... that's just never going to happen here.

To get mass boycotts, you need to have something so serious that there is pretty much total agreement and consensus on the issue.

The only recent example I can think of where there really was a mass boycott every game, was 10 years ago or so at Blackpool.     80-90% of the fans stopped going, and didn't go back until the owner had gone.    But the owner they had at the time was perceived to be really bad, and I mean quantum leap worse than anything we've had down here.

The difference between Top and other bad owners is that people like the Oyston's were genuinely despicable people and almost seemed to do things on purpose to annoy fans out of spite. Same with Chansiri.

Top just seems to be completely non-plussed about being an owner of a football club and well out of his depth.

Both are equally bad, but I can see why some people don't get it when it's not as blatent and in your face as the Oyston's and Chansiri. Ours is probably worse because so many are blinded to it.

As long as it's not Trump. Actually I think you might be on to something given what happened in Venezuela.

I understand what you're saying, but sorry, I can't agree with what you've said.

Being "genuinely despicable" does not equate with being "non-plussed" and "out of your depth."

I know a lot of Blackpool fans, and they explained things that never even made it into the media or message boards.    There really isn't a comparison ...

Anyone saying the weather.

QPR, FA Cup last season.

Crowd of 28k which did included 4.5k QPR so let’s take off 3k there for comparison sake.

We had 25k for a game played in sub zero temperatures, you couldn’t see the ball, lower league opposition, under a pretty horrific manager and form.

It was also in a competition that we realistically had no chance of winning and one that has seen declining attendances across the board in recent years.

Yeah that's fair, I should clarify that I think it results in the same outcomes, which is the club deteriorating.

The difference is, the actions of the blackpool owner were more obviously detrimental which led to fans being in unison in wanting change. Ours will be more of a slow crawl downwards with many being blind to it till we see the full impact.

That game wasn't 8pm on the first Monday back to work / school.

I actually think those that wouldn't go as far as a boycott would be more on board with the delayed entry than missing an entire game as they can still offer their vocal support for 80 mins. If well publicised, the TV game on 31st against Charlton would be a good one to keep people in the concourse until 10:00 minutes and then come in chanting, singing etc. Think it could get traction. I know people who went last night, but would do this. I also think people didn't expect the boycott to be as successful and feel like there is movement.

It was a bit more than half full. 17-18k would be my guess.

It was also only £10 for a ticket, instead of £50 last night 🧐
