I have no doubt that we’re completely broke but the “email” is as fake as those ones I get from shipping companies in Africa telling me there’s a box with diamonds in it with my name on if I can send them my bank account sort code and account number.

Still, will get a few people talking.

Seems fake to me. But you would have thought the club would be quite quick to address the situation if it were fake considering the current feeling around the club and negative media coverage we've been getting.

I think businesses respond to fake information (well, apart from the Musks and Trumps of this world) with caution. If there is any truth in this, all comms should be handled via official internal channels.

Even if fake, it only takes one person to come forward saying they didnt get theirs (even if they do issue vouchers) for everyone to start piling in on the official channels.

Not sticking up for anyone here - just assuming its not always the best thing to do.

They said nothing about the staff being paid late, why would they say anything about this?

Comms and PR strategy has been for years to say absolutely nothing.

Anthony doesn't comment on bad news, as if the KP way

If it’s true, the wording and structure of the email is very similar to the Christmas pay email from Monika.

If true it’s pretty clear that the club is tightening its belt from a non critical football operations cost and cash flow perspective.

Two decisions that don’t directly impact the day to day football side but clearly sends the message that non essential expenditure  is being cut and some of the benefits and perks enjoyed by the non playing staff is slowly being reduced. I can honestly foresee a wave of redundancies being announced in the coming months.

It's not hard Anthony. Do you need RandomThaiWomen's permission now? The longer you leave it the more the online noise associate it with the West Brom protest.

Tomorrow, someone makes up a rumour and it follows the same process, as does the one the day after and the day after that.

That works both ways.

To be fair, we're long overdue a round of redundancies. They painted themselves as heroes during Covid and the first relegation (our staff numbers actually went up!!!!) but there's plenty of people who have been there far too long.

As long as they pay people what they're owed, give them the right amount of notice and allow people to look for jobs during the notice period.... a round of redundancies should be the first thing a new CEO does.

I realise that's horrific but it happens everywhere and we've carried on being comfy cozy Leicester for the last 10 years.

I know it's the stat I always roll out but our senior marketing team have all been in position for 10 or more years.....

I wouldn’t disagree that the club needs to get a grip on its finances but that has to be across the board, putting players on lengthy expensive contracts and overpaying on fees has to stop as that will be the biggest way to get our spending under control.

The club isn’t likely to issue a comms on any random speculation to quash it.

They would do well to make a change in this regard. Won't take that long and not exactly difficult to put out a quick tweet/post/article about their care and good will for staff at the club...

Where do you draw the line though? How many new rumours do we hear on here that people would then be asking for the same for?

Yep, understandable, but then given how much the club likes good PR, they could easily use this to their advantage. Spin it their own way and make themselves look good.

Are the stewards employed directly by Lcfc or showsec ?  If this had happened during our successful years no one would have batted an eye lid.

Is it a mix? Some in house staff and some Showsec?

I think they have given up on that as well tbf.

For what it’s worth, I think King Power have been looking at our finances and are cost cutting. They’ve put the feelers out on this one to see how it goes down and if there was no backlash they would gradually stop doing this altogether.

This mindset implies recognition that they currently have an image problem.

Club is broke. KP took an absolute beating in the pandemic and hasn’t recovered.

This is why all of you whining about not challenging for promotion are utterly deluded. The priority this season has always been to absolutely gut the wage bill without getting relegated, with gutting the wage bill a higher priority than not getting relegated. The current owners need to cut the liabilities and sell up, it’s as simple as that.

They have no idea,  Top needs professional help to repair his own reputation - the PR is amature and patronising.  I beleive that  the only thing that will wake him up is ridicule on bangkok social mediaL "he is making himself look a fool", "way outof his depth"," relying on amateur idiots and he is too dumb to relaise"

Absolutely, the two should be treat as separate entities though. Technical director get a hold of the playing side. CEO get a hold of the non playing side.
