And to think during our 2015/16 season I watched every game no matter how early I had to get up and tuning into bbc radio Leicester sport and every blog going it was total pure obsession. Took over my life literally. Fast forward to now and I can’t even be bothered to wake up and if it’s not on tv I’m not bothered. Ignore the game check the result and hope and pray for a nice surprise.

there was a nice sweet spot for a while under Brendan’s first 2 seasons where I felt like a normal happy premier league fan.

i just can’t stand the one crisis after another drama we are going thru at the moment

The fact is we've not arrived there yet.  Still further to sink.

Definitely !!

And yet the Top Ass lickers will respond with “ Be careful what you wish for”

Even if we’re in league one

Our last two league games where we've won points were an undeserved last gasp victory over West Brom (admittedly a scorcher of a shot) and an injury time equaliser which was against the run of play.

So, even when we win points, we are pretty awful and it's often undeserved.

A large portion of this squad went on a record-breaking losing streak last season and we didn't score week after week, while we got repeatedly roughly pumped.

This season, we do score goals, but we now haven't kept a clean sheet for months.

Whenever we are on TV, they put up stats showing that we have among the league's  fewest sprints, tackles, etc, so it seems that players who put in the least effort in the league keep getting selected.

Our supporters have eyes, and they can see a disjointed side that plays in fits and starts, and a lack of apparent game plan, resulting in many fans staying away from games.

Those fans who remain have lost patience.

It's not inconceivable that Thomas or Stolarczyk could get booed by our own fans at a home game, soon.

Confidence is low.

A significant points deduction looms.

So yeah, I'd say this is a low just now and it could go very much lower.

Probably will do.

If there's hope, it lies in not getting a major points deduction, surviving this season, bringing on as many of our Academy prospects as we can, and then offloading the  dross on big wages from the squad.

it's going to be tough.

Does anybody think this is worse (or could get worse) than the infamous, lengthy Mike Ashley ownership of Newcastle??

It's already hit a lower floor. Ashley's problem was he had a very low ceiling and was pretty brazen in doing so. This lot aren't just inept but they're arrogant, delusional and completely unable to look inwards and think they're the problem. Even if Aiyawatt's intentions aren't quite as bad, he's far more incompetent.

This is the lowest I’ve ever felt as a fan and it just continues. Last minute goal after a shit performance an literally no emotion. Actually, there was, I was pissed off we didn’t lose.

It’s just crap. And it’s not just the football. We’ve been crap before. But it’s never been like this.

I don’t understand this comparison to the 2008 bunch. The supposed quality of player we have now is supposedly higher. How many internationals did we have in 08? Hume and Kisnorbo?

Either way, the effort from the players back then was there- they were just crap. End of.

Now, the players don’t care because those above them don’t care. Nobody is holding the players, management or the owners to account.

I genuinely feel like we’re shitter now than at any point in my lifetime of being a City fan (1994)

Holloway and his merry men are largely badly regarded around here, but I think this bunch will out do them before long.

If we had Holloway’s 11 in this league we’d be performing better

I think we had some good players in that squad but not the individuals we have in this one. The off the field matters and managerial merry go round didn’t help in 07/08.

I just looked and our points total that season (52) would have kept you up every year other than one since then. Didn’t we also have something crazy like the second best defence? If you had just a fraction of the individual quality that we are relying on this season, that side would have been nowhere near getting relegated.

Although the data available now wasn’t back then, by near all metrics you could compare, we are a worse side now than back then. Just fortunate we have James.

This side could have no complaints or redeeming arguments if they go down.

Yep, thanks for reminding me- we had the second best defence that season too

I attended my first Leicester game at 11 years old on 13 Feb 2003 - It was a 1-0 win at home to Crystall Palace, with Paul Dickov scoring the winner. I was hooked after that and before moving to Australia in 2012, I didn't miss a home game. I attended every home and away game during our League 1 season and enjoyed every minute of it. I was there every week during the dross years and remember every home game under Craig Levein ending with chants of "What a load of rubbish", but I still looked forward to every game.

This is the first time since Dickov scored that goal that I just don't care. I always thought not caring about football would be a much better option, as your weekend mood wouldn't be dependent on how Leicester perform, but it's actually incredibly sad that the one piece of childhood excitement we keep through life has just fizzled out.

The only saving grace is that one day this ownership will leave. These players will move on. This manager will rightly be sacked. And if that means going back to League One, so be it, because at least then the excitement and passion for the club we all have will return.

King Power out. John Rudkin out. The vast majority of the players out. Manager out.

I dislike every ounce of this club so much that I just want a total wipe.

That includes people that I would otherwise have / used to like.

Even the likes of Andy King. Love him as a player, but I just associate him as part of the mess now.

Always in Marti's ear so can follow him out the door too.

Feel sorry for the youth players who have inadvertently ended up in such a toxic environment.

Doesn't mean he is listening to him.

Naive to think he isn't.

Nothing on King's management / coaching CV suggests he's offering any good advice.

Whole clubs a mess.

King is as much to blame.  Our form has certainly gone downhill since he became a coach here.  It's not all on the manager.

We just need a figurehead to get behind.

I think Big Nige was a massive catalyst in getting everyone back on board when we were in league one. It could have been disastrous but he brought everyone together as well as cruising the league.

A reset is 100% needed. We are all crying out for it. It will come, I'm confident of that, everything is cyclic, l but it may take a few years yet given the speed at which things are happening.

I've been home and away for donkeys years. Rarely miss a game. I went to Moscow.

Yesterday I had totally forgotten we were playing and missed the game.

The club and the playing staff have become so dislikable that I'm struggling to generate the interest I always thought was a given.

Not that it matters. The club genuinely don't give a **** about me and the other fans that go down. We're beneath them.

This is how I feel. Hardly post on here anymore, don’t watch the games. Lord knows I’ve watched us when we were shite, when we were asking players to play for nowt, very closely under Levein and Kelly and though the likes of Allen, Megson that came before Pearson. But this is the absolute pits.

You can add to that list "a lot of our fans out too".

A huge number of our Home fans are absolutely useless, and that's if they can even be bothered to stay for more than 85 minutes.

(no matter what the KO time is, and no matter whether we're winning by one goal, drawing, or losing by one goal and attacking).

Two thirds of our away fans are absolutely useless, and stand (or sit) there in virtual silence.    And that's totally across the age spectrum.

And don't say, it's just because we're now total shite.   It's been awful for most of the last 5 years.   If it wasn't for Union FS and about 500 of the regular away fans, it would be hideous beyond parody.

Behind Allen, Levein, and Kelly was a board TRYING (but largely failing) to get it right at the club.

Behind this shitshow is an ownership team who view me as a threat. I need to go through barriers and search teams to get in. They view me as 'legacy' and prefer a 'new profile of fan'...they've used those words.

They see my attendance as costly and useful only to advertise outwards to more desirable demographics. If they could choose between having me and my old man down every week or a different group of Americans or Asians on rotation it's the other groups 100% every single time.

I can tolerate shit football. I can't tolerate knowing my community club resents it's own community and isn't interested improving itself.

We've gone from the team that stood against charging fans for access during covid to a horror show that I think would jump at the chance to become a franchise style team like an NFL club.

This is so far removed from the club I first went to see at Filbert Street.
