I didn't really understand any of that waffle apart from his first sentance "I have a big job to do in Thailand"

Part timer. No clue what's going on day to day. Fvck off.

He’s not really telling truth is he, he doesn’t have a big job in Thailand. He was ousted from King Power CEO role.

If we end up in League One, it certainly won’t be the result of the fans.

It’ll be the result of the complete ineptitude of the hierarchy and mismanagement of the club over many years.

How dare he try and reflect this back on the thousands of us that spend our hard earned money travelling up and down the country to watch and support our team.

Completely tone deaf.

Him being front and centre of the parade for promotion, was funny enough. And that was before there were multiple buses for his pals

Parading around the pitch with the Premier League trophy too, when it should have been the players. Spoilt kid.
And he blames Covid for the club’s demise?

Get him gone.

Get this f ucking ***** out.

“I don’t know how we got relegated” - he’ll be saying that about relegation to League 1.

Thick c unt. He’s killing the club because he’s dumb, that’s it.

Yep, if he can’t understand what caused us to fall from 5th, 5th, 8th to relegation, how can he prevent it happening again?

He is clueless, he shouldn’t be running the club. He has undone all the good work his father carried out, and is taking us below and past it.

totally out of his depth, and arrogant so he doesn’t see that the best thing for the club is that he steps aside

He says he should be blamed in fairness?

He says the ambitions are still there. We will see Top won’t we.

Yeah, I think some of the criticism isn't fair - he has good intentions.

But the issue is he's clearly out of his depth and he's got people around he trusts too much and have taken advantage without any accountability - these are serious issues and we've got to hope he gets lucky again and gets the next board appointments right as he's not selling.

I think it's worth posting the full quote on 'we'll be OK' in 2022-3 - suggests to me he was concerned but kept getting reassurances they'd be fine.

He's too much of a 'fan boy'  and trusting, that's a serious problem. I don't think it was so much complacency.

“I still do not understand why we go down. I talked to a lot of players at that time. I think the main problem was we had no experience of a relegation fight. We were so relaxed that we were going to be OK. What I heard is: ‘Boss, don’t worry, we’ll be OK.’ We were not OK … I could not play so I tried to help every single aspect that I could. I can get in, talk to them, shake them up, whatever I could do, I did it. The Premier League is difficult, but we shouldn’t have been in that position.”

As much as I want him gone I do believe as part of grieving his father, like he said, aside from playing he tried to back the club as much as he could. More than someone more astute or in the right frame of mind would have done.

I think we need to consider what the atmosphere inside the club would have been like at the time. People saying the right things to Top to offer him comfort but he fully trusted those words.

A young man with billions in investments and business needs better people around him if he doesn’t fully understand things. Like I’ve said  l can’t see him ever selling up especially with how his father died at the ground. Hopefully he’ll get these new people in and start the change that we desperately need.

This is exactly why he deserves no slack. Some fans will expect perfection of course, but the majority of us just want to see somebody trying their best, willing to put aside their own ego for the benefit of the club. Ignoring all the other stuff, the fact he doesn't have the humility to admit he's out of his depth and at least try and hire the right people (even if he gets that wrong) shows that he doesn't care at all. People trot out the line about him being a young billionaire etc. well just get people in who are better qualified to lead the club; that's a sign of strong leadership.

This is the most alarming bit for me:

Not knowing what PSR is? Not knowing that we were on course to break it? Terrifying.

It does explain the sudden change in plan in the summer prior to relegation that pissed Rodgers off. They clearly had no idea PSR was even a concern.

Further to this:

Quote

"The only one [financial year] we don't know what it is, is the year we get relegated. And when we didn't plan for that, it hit us hard.

“But the rest of the season we are compliant, and I am sure a club like Leicester, everybody knows our story, I know we are trying hard to comply.

"I cannot say much, but let's wait for a decision, and the quicker is the better for all."

When asked how their finances are looking, he said: "The money we spend has to be compliant with PSR. Sadly that is not easy. I'm sure you see the feedback from the world of geopolitics and tourism in Thailand. That affects us.

We were compliant in the other seasons? No, we are literally awaiting a verdict for a breach for the season after.

It's also got absolutely nothing to do with geopolitics or Thailand. Pumping in money wouldn't solve PSR. I think it's clear he doesn't really understand the details.

But the chasing success thing is a nonsense. How many players did we go out and sign for huge sums or how many players did we have to throw massive contracts at the attract them here? Basically none, in fact Tielemans is the only player I can see where we might have had to push the boat to get him (maybe Ricardo as well). Problem was that we overpaid on solid players but more than we handed out massive contracts to average players for absolutely no reason.

Wasn't like we threw money at trying to grow the team beyond what was possible organically, and the transfers didn't pan out. We were just plain thick about it and overly loyal to other players. For some context, Ipswich's net spend last year was almost as much as our highest 3 year period.

To lose your father in such a horrific way is just unimaginable. He had to try and step up quickly and it was all too much for him to cope with. Left Rudkin in charge which was a big mistake. This combined with covid and PSR issues over the last 5 years has made it a tough time for the club. He realises there have been mistakes and is making appointments to hopefully improve things. No one can ever take away what we achieved and I know we can't live in the past but we owe him to try and sort this out. I for one want to see him stay.
