Only happy if we get a 20-30% sell on clause.

He will blow up there. Hes far too good and that price is a steal. Obviously we cannot haggle and we have to sell but he’s a fantastic player. Anyone claiming otherwise is an idiot.

I would say overall that Fatawu has been pretty good for us?

Even if it did tale off the last 10 games or so of last season

16 goals and 23 assists in 2 and a bit seasons from someone who has just turned 22 and had a very bad injury half way through his time here

Nowhere near consistent enough for me and very much predictable- he scored some great goals but overall his general play was not great for someone worth north of 20 mil - one of the biggest let downs last season for me - I don’t class him in with the utter swamp dwellers but expected a lot more -

but everyone has an opinion right

I don’t think I have ever seen a consistent winger.

I just think you have to consider the absolute state of the rest of the squad:

Strikers - Crossing into Daka who would probably miss or Ayew who would be 20 yards further back

Left winger - Only option for far post crosses were pretty much just Mavididi once Monga got dropped

Midfielders - Once JJ started having his injury issues it was Mukasa who seemingly gave up after his unreal start or Reid for the edge of the box

Right back - No over or underlapping full back because Ricardo couldn't do it anymore so a lot of the time he was being doubled or tripled up on which even the best wingers in the world would still struggle with

I don't think it is much of a surprise he basically gave up after a certain point, other than going for it himself he didn't really have a lot of choice

Don't get me wrong he was definitely bad in some games and way off it

But with an absolute dogsh!t squad with seemingly an incredibly toxic dressing room he was never going to be consistent across the full season, especially when you also have to consider he was coming off the back of an ACL (and even then he was back well ahead of schedule)

Don’t disagree with any of that - your points are completely valid - however

I’m still expecting a player of a certain level to not give the ball away as much as he does - I still think his decision making is really poor- I still think he chucked the towel in last year - some of his performances second half of the season were embarrassing

if I compare him to James and what he did and didn’t do for the team last year - I had a lot of time for the effort James put in alongside some quality -

I don’t think Fatawu did anywhere near enough

I think like @Ric Flair said some people also seem to ignore what he puts in for the defensive side of the game

Stats wise he actually comes out very similar to JJ, which for a winger is very impressive

I hope you are both right and we have a good sell on clause

Town took McAteer, who was, to be honest, pretty poor at the start of last season. Took time to settle.  But by the end of he was flying. A real asset.

I hope Fatawu is the same.

Pleased if the cash keeps the foxes afloat.

I’m not convinced we will spend the money. I think we’re operating as if the PSR rules are the same as the championship in fact, I bet we still think the same rules apply our boardroom is that stupid.

We‘ll yet again spend barely a penny and somehow post a huge loss.

Regardless of our position. 20 mill in reality is not enough for a player of his standard and potential. All wingers are inconsistent but he a scorer of amazing goals and is a match winner.

should be getting a little more in a market that is truly wild. We will miss him massively. Hopefully a sell in clause. Hopefully scores against next season. Means we get promoted.

I take dibbling, philogene and Hutchinson, he is better than all. Never worth less.

As for Fatawu, he will have a really good

career, just a shame its not with us.

I don’t think Ipswich is a good move for him. He would have been better going abroad.

Plenty of teams will be put off by his previous injury. This is a good move for him, he gets to play in the Premier League and if he stays fit and has a good season he’ll likely be moving on to bigger things.

Over £40 million brought in for Bilal, Monga and Fatawu. In league one terms, that's absolutely enormous.

It would be if the finances werent already a complete sh*tshow
