I’m not sure any manager gets much out of these. Right now Warnock till the end of the season is possibly the only thing we can try Warnock is a great shout the club is toxic he's done it at a few clubs, if we can be at least hard to beat and shore up the defence, stop making stupid mistakes that the basis of a platform to build something keep King as assistant to learn.
Fox92 Posted 7 February Posted 7 February We need a proper manager. Just someone who will make us hard to beat. 1
Popular Post BigGibbo Posted 7 February Popular Post Posted 7 February Ridiculous red cards aside. Kingy has as good as admitted himself that he's not ready for the job yet. He's just answering the call as there is no one else. He was never the answer and there is no reasonable expectation that he would be. Only our impossibly idiotic executive suite had any real hopes that he would perform a miracle and lead us to safety, so they could kick the problem into the long grass until the summer again. He needs to be back leading the development squads ASAP before any real damage is done to him and the club. 5
Beachyboy Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Have we got a sports psychologist if so who is it and what are they doing? Pay top rate for Tom Bates he helped Sheffield Wednesday come back from 4-0 down in the playoffs v Peterborough.
Mr.Bingles Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Got to feel for King with 2 red cards in two games! Not a lot he can do about complete stupidity. 🤬 1
Popular Post 5waller5 Posted 7 February Popular Post Posted 7 February Really feel for Kingy, to have to play 156 minutes with ten men in two games is freakishly bad luck. We’ll never know if his 11v11 sides would have won those games, but I suspect we’d have been a hell of a lot closer than we have been all season. I can see a much greater desire from the team, that’s a start, and maybe all that’s possible in a week and a half 8 1

He may turn out to be hopeless as a manager, but shocking decisions by more senior players in both of his two games has left him in the mud. I can't think of any manager that has been this unlucky in his first two games. The timing of the red today too - just as we’ve got back into the game and started building some momentum. I also thought his halftime switch was brave and it seemed to be frustrating Birmingham quite a bit before the goal.
coolhandfox Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Rinse and repeat of 22/23 keep a manager too long and have no plan B. At least you could agrue Rodgers had credit in the bank.
teblin Posted 7 February Posted 7 February He doesn’t want the job I don’t think. He want stability and and experienced head to work with. Think he genuinely want to work with academy at the moment 2

The anger I feel towards Aiyawatt and Rudkin is through the fecking roof. 5

LFEFox23 Posted 7 February Posted 7 February I’m not saying Kings the right man but Jesus he’s been let down in both games, two stupid red cards. First game, so disappointed he didn’t change it up and went with the same team that’s been losing most weeks. Second game, changed it up but lacked any belief or hunger. No real direction in what our tactic/method of playing. 1

The anger I feel towards Aiyawatt and Rudkin is through the fecking roof. The silver lining is that A) it's not working and the heat on the Chuckle Brothers is greater than ever, and B) I don't think anyone with a brain is blaming Kingy one bit for where we find ourselves right now. Well, apart from continuing to give Ayew and Thomas minutes... I digress, despite the result today I thought we played with a lot more intent. We're just garbage and certain players continue to let us down with stupid goal-costing errors... and early red cards. Do we even know what King's game plan was going to be, really? Even the most meticulous manager surely doesn't plan to be playing 150+ minutes of football with ten men in his two matches in charge, let alone a complete novice. I hope there's a point 5-10 years down the line where we've had the baptism of fire to pry the club away from King Power, Kingy has earned his stripes managing elsewhere, and he's ready to take the reins of a revived Leicester City with an actual vision. I'm not considering this ridiculous scenario his audition to be manager - it's completely different to when Shakey took over from Claudio, given he'd been on the touchline with that group of players since Pearson's second stint and was more than ready for the role. jonny_wright Posted 7 February Posted 7 February We massively missed out on Wilder in the summer, now I guess Rowatt on a 5 month deal is as good as you’re gonna get

We discussed King a fair bit on Blue Tinted Glasses at full time and the guys will be covering him tomorrow too. I think you could criticise him for not making changes fast enough, Birmingham made a tripple sub and scored shortly therafter, with our players tired because of having to cover so much ground (though Winks should not have been as tired as the others). But at the end of the day he's been completely let down. Ricardo in particular who is supposed to be the Captain with an absolute brain fart was criminal. 4
nettle Posted 7 February Posted 7 February The tactics were all wrong today if you ask me we've gone from playing out from the back to suddenly launching it long to a useless twonk up front. In the second half when did we try and go through the midfield or at least try and get a foot on the ball we just completely bypassed that and went long at every opportunity.
