LVFox Posted 1 February Posted 1 February I don’t hate this, probably on decent money and there’s an injury question, but we need an experienced leader at centre back. Him and Nelson could be a good partnership 1

Theres a right way, a wrong way and a Rudders way. All seriousness, I'm not against this. He was Newcastle captain and I remember him being a good leader. We just don't want another Coady moment. But this does makes sense. Let's face it, him or Okoli, Faes, Vesty...I know who I pick. Edited 1 February by fox_favourite
Drain the Swamp Posted 1 February Posted 1 February Desperately needed and actually a decent choice. The striker is the most important thing now. 1
jonny_wright Posted 1 February Posted 1 February In our predicament, and with the resources we have I think it’s as good as we can hope
BrilliantFox Posted 1 February Posted 1 February (edited) Can he bring Sven Botman with him I fear whoever Lascelles' partner will be here will drag him down to their level. I hope I'm wrong and Lascelles improves whoever he gets paired with, not the other way round. Seriously need a leader at Centreback. Never want to see Vestergaard or Faes again. frany104 Posted 1 February Posted 1 February Don’t think we could get anyone better. Let’s hope he is fit and stays fit. 2

GrobyLCFC31 Posted 1 February Posted 1 February 280+ career appearances with 150 of them in the Premier League There’s of course the worry that he hasn’t played proper first team football in a couple of seasons but if he had been we wouldn’t be in the run in to sign him, hopefully he’ll come in with the bit between his teeth raring to go! Looks to be a leader, knows the English game and someone that the likes of Nelson and Aluko can tap into for advice and support etc. We could’ve signed worse
MPH Posted 1 February Posted 1 February (edited) I think this will be a good signing just as long as our expectations are not too high too soon. Let him get a few games under his belt, and he could be the player and leader we need at the back. Edited 1 February by MPH

Langston Posted 1 February Posted 1 February Wish I was as optimistic as a few on here about this one.. Just can't see it being a success..
lcfcsnow Posted 1 February Posted 1 February He's made two sub appearances (20 minutes in total) in two years 🤔 2 1
