Muzzy_no7 Posted 2 February Posted 2 February (edited) If he stays fit he and Nelson would really really suit* eachother. Also, like we did with Morgan, make him captain. Edited 2 February by Muzzy_no7 1
LCFCJohn Posted 2 February Posted 2 February Loads of positives, leader and a proper defender. I don’t think he is a Coady type as Coady liked the sound of his own voice and was always about Conor Coady before anything else. Lascelles has always been low key. A better pro I think. Concerns are fitness. He is still at a good age. Has he had bad injuries or just been moved on from? And wages of course with our leadership… 1
StanSP Posted 2 February Posted 2 February I hope he's the Huth-Esque signing in terms of older head at the back as opposed to Ryan Bennett standard... 3
tickler28 Posted 2 February Posted 2 February Question to Jamal 'What was it that swayed your decision to join a club that offer extortionately high wages and ridiculously long contracts?' 4
Edingleyfox Posted 2 February Posted 2 February (edited) We can’t play two inexperienced centre backs so fingers crossed he will be a useful addition and leader. His fitness and wages are a concern. Be interested to see what terms have been agreed Edited 2 February by Edingleyfox
brookfox Posted 2 February Posted 2 February If fit he’ll be a massive plus on and off the pitch. Makes it pretty clear Souttar is nowhere near fit as well.
FosseSpark Posted 2 February Posted 2 February Hermansen Lascelles Mukasa and a striker gives us a CHANCE of staying up. But not a sniff of a striker or a full back yet.
tickler28 Posted 2 February Posted 2 February I would be very surprised if the lad is actually fit....suffered a devastating ACL injury in March 2024 and has barely played since....classic LCFC signing 4
Popular Post Ian Nacho Posted 2 February Popular Post Posted 2 February (edited) A 32 year old with a horrific injury record who hasn't started a game since September 2023. You can just guarantee this is agent led. Edit: Just looked, same agent as Cifuentes, Rogers, Jordan James, Aaron Ramsey, and Vestegaard Edited 2 February by Ian Nacho 4 5

SB87_LCFC Posted 2 February Posted 2 February Has qualities we lack, I don't see him coming in and being a starter, but will offer us a little more than certain other players we've had wear the shirt this season.

Fair enough if an individual player needs support negotiating a deal, however they now appear to shape entire club transfer strategies based on lining their pockets and not the clubs scouting department. At least they do at our tinpot setup. That said if we need to do this deal to get JJ over the line I’m all for it 🤩 1

suffolk fox Posted 2 February Posted 2 February Seriously, an injury prone defender who hasn't played in two years, people on here creaming themselves. We need a striker, what on earth does our scouting network and recruitment team actually do. Glover and Co Rudkin should hang their heads in shame. 2

You know whats so funny, West Ham were seconds away from terminating his contract so he could join us and on that day he scored and won them the game at Spurs away . 1

Brenfox Posted 2 February Posted 2 February Its not to be understated how poor our backline is in the air too. This would improve us immensely.
Stadt Posted 2 February Posted 2 February There’s probably a > 50% chance he gets injured and we don’t send him back. On paper yes I’m happy but his injury record is appalling. We already have one loanee crock. 3
