I can't for the life of me think why Enzo would contemplate coming back here. We've no money, we've no decent players to play his style of football and we are facing a points deduction, which would seriously hinder his remit to keep us in this league. Added to this, he's already had first hand experience working with Rudkin so he knows how useless and ineffective he is. He may well be offered a king's ransom to keep us up, but he hardly needs the money after his pay off from Chelsea and no doubt another top job awaiting him.

How does it suit it suit Maresca? He'll be waiting for another PL job or somewhere abroad. He wouldn't come back here.

I don't think anyone doubts the club would be desperate enough to go back to the last man that had things working, but surely no-one believes he'd consider us when he's basically being primed as Peps successor in the summer

You never know how someone ticks.

 

It's rare for someone to leave a club without being sacked or moving up the ladder without burning some bridges. 

 

It seems to me that with Enzo's ridiculous rise to the top so quickly and the fact we got some much needed money from Chelsea, he probably left with very good relations.

 

I could see him being very thankful for kick starting his career and it's not beyond the realms of fantasy he knows he'll be sitting on his arse until July so could come and do a bit of fire fighting.

 

Still all very unlikely but I could see how it might happen.
