We didn't just surpass the limit. We went an Oliver Skipp transfer over it at £20.8m.

Now given how the allowance losses are calculated, that means the period inclusive of this year we've got reduce our losses from £103.8m to £61 million.

The club is absolutely shagged

We are in this for the long haul. No easy way out here.

Can see it getting a lot, lot worse.

  • Failing to provide full, complete and prompt cooperation with the league’s financial inquiries.

3 charges total with 2 points attached to each charge basically. 6 points.  People were speculating saying crazy numbers like 10 to 12 points lol

So 4 of the points are not even related to over spending? 😂

It's worth reading the report - some of defence is absolutely pathetic.

Citing the need to sack the manager as a reason why we failed PSR but then paying Cooper & Van Nistelrooy in the combined region of pro rata £7m a year.

Let’s not forget that if Man City are found to have been guilty of financial doping the on-field advantage they would have gained would have kept us out of the Champions League Places. What difference would that have made to our fortunes and where we found ourselves now. Sliding doors moment. You’re not telling me Chelsea are all above board too.

What does that club statement even mean? In simple terms

We’re sad and disappointed about the decision.

The punishment is smaller than what the Premier League first wanted, but they still think it’s too big and unfair.

The club thinks the rules should be checked over 3 years, and the Commission agreed with them on that part.

The Commission also agreed Leicester didn’t do anything extra bad on purpose, and that the club’s money situation is getting better.

Now Leicester City is reading the full decision carefully and deciding what to do next.

They want everything to be fair and reasonable.

This is effectively a penalty for mismanagement and means eternal shame for Top, which I believe is about as low as it gets in Thai culture.

Staying up can't and won't change that.

His father's beautiful legacy has been destroyed by foolish incompetence.

We have to force him out of the club before he does any more damage.

We’re gonna need to sell Fatawu in the summer, Get as much as we can for Monga at some point and likely sell Nelson and the Plonker for anything

Before the 30th June I'd say as well.

I'd be more concerned with our decision to sign Ryan Bennett and subsequent end of season form rather than that.

The EFL notes the decision of the independent Disciplinary Commission, appointed under Premier League Rules, which has confirmed that Leicester City FC breached the Profit & Sustainability Rules in the three-year reporting period ending with Season 2023/24.

Anyone know if we are likely in the clear for last season?

Anyone posted the LCFC statement yet?

In late 2025, an Independent Commission heard a case brought by the Premier League against Leicester City Football Club for alleged breaches of profitability and sustainability rules for the three-year period ending June 2024. The action was brought by the Premier League after an initial investigation was passed on by the EFL, as the Club was competing in the EFL Championship during the applicable season and promoted upon its conclusion.

The Commission’s decision can be found . The Club has responded with the following statement:

STATEMENT

It is with disappointment that Leicester City acknowledges the Independent Commission’s decision and the Club will use the time available to consider its next steps.

While the Commission’s findings significantly reduced the unprecedented scale of the sanction originally sought by the Premier League, the recommendation remains disproportionate and does not adequately reflect the mitigating factors presented, the importance of which cannot be overstated given the potential impact on our sporting ambitions this season.

We appreciate the Commission’s agreement with the Club’s position that compliance for FY24 should be assessed over a 36-month period – an important point both for the period in question, but also in providing the Club with certainty on its PSR/P&S compliance for FY25. The panel also agreed there were no aggravating factors which should be applied to the sanction, which is something the Club had maintained throughout, and acknowledged the Club demonstrated a positive trend in its finances in FY24.

We are now reviewing the decision in full and considering the options available to us. We remain committed to engaging constructively and ensuring that any action is fair, proportionate and determined through the appropriate processes.

Does the mention of Y25 when 23/24 was what the charge was for mean we are fine for 24/25?
