22 days to make the easiest, most obvious and least ambitious decision. What do they waste the 21.9 other days doing??

Let me get this straight....

Sean Dyche and Gary Rowett are available.

Flop and Dudkin chose Rowett out of those two?

FFS!

We can’t afford Dyche and he wouldn’t want the job anyway.

Think it's more a case of who chooses us rather than our choice

I wanted this appointment when Marti was sacked. Best of what is available that would take the job currently, but this has taken far too long for an out of work replacement.

Think about it. Dyche is a prem manager, so he's never coming to us. Rowett has been in this position before.

It's the reality of the situation we find ourselves in. Dyche was never going to come.

QPR didn’t sack Cifuentes, he wanted out. He spent weeks trying to get a move to WBA.

Google's AI summary:

Gary Rowett is an experienced Championship manager known for organizing solid defensive structures, building competitive teams, and emphasizing high-energy, hard-working performances. Often viewed as a, practical "fixer" or "firefighter" manager, he adapts his systems to fit existing player capabilities rather than enforcing a rigid philosophy, commonly targeting top-six challenges or stabilizing clubs.

Key aspects of Gary Rowett's management style include:

Defensive Organization: Teams under Rowett are typically well-organized, with a notable ability to secure clean sheets and create a hard-to-beat reputation.

Adaptability: He tailors his tactics to the squad's strengths, prioritizing effective, direct, and pragmatic football to secure results, especially when taking over mid-season.

Championship Expertise: With over 400 games in the second tier, he has managed clubs like Birmingham, Derby, Stoke, Millwall, and Oxford.

High Work Ethic: He demands high levels of commitment, drive, and honesty from players, focusing on team spirit.

Motivational Focus: He approaches management as a, "sales job" that requires convincing players to believe in his methods and feel motivated.

His tenure often brings immediate structure to struggling teams, but he has sometimes faced challenges in maintaining long-term, top-tier promotion momentum.

He'll keep us up it will be rancid but that's what is needed now in a relegation scrap.

Not a fan of his really but will be nice to see a new style of play and reckon he'll get the best out of Fatawu. Winks will probably be dropped too which will be nice.
