It won’t be Martin, but I just have a feeling we may already have an agreement with another manager to take over if we stay up.

Guess it depends how much say McCarron is having on things.

His managers at Lommel were Liam Manning (didn't hire him though), Steve Bould (now back as a coach at QPR) and Lee Johnson (possibly didn't hire him as left as he joined).

The City Group contacts will be interesting, opens up a whole world of potential managers/current youth team coaches, one we've already tapped up before of course!

King had never managed a single game before his few caretaker games here. Rowett has been managing at this level for years. Huge difference

Lets hope so.

Couple of things in his interview I found interesting:

He said "get my hands dirty" I interpreted this as dealing with the sh**y characters.

He also said "we all know what the problems are" which implied the owners have ran the club into the mud!

That in itself doesn't bode well for his future here. That's probably already irked the clueless duo.

Could go either way I suppose. Like other managers he may not get a tune out of some of the 'talented' players he's mentioned that are in the squad or he could galvanise the squad and keep us up through being resilient and pragmatic. If he does keep us up and fans can see the team spirit and effort has vastly improved, I hope they give him a go next year, as at this level he should do well. With a complete overhaul of the squad and a full pre season, which has been lacking recently, he may start to build something good again.

I love the 6 months contract. He doesn’t have a 3 year deal and time. He’s coming off a sacking. He NEEDS this to work as much as Leicester need it to work.

He will have no choice but to chuck players who don’t buy into it almost immediately.

Good luck Gary, we all need it to work.

Scenes if he starts Jordan Ayew as our lone striker on Saturday.

I’m sure many more will say this but based on a 1 in 2 chance - plus factoring general footballing reputation, let’s not get our hopes up.

If there’s any mileage in that, then it’s completely the opposite way of the clubs dealings recently, we can hope.

New manager does not mean new players, he needs to instil a better mentality, less worried about who actually starts, more about how the team performs as a team.

Jordan Ayew isn't the issue per se, it's his shitty attitude this season, the constant falling over that gets most fans, of course.

Here's to more effort on the pitch, and less licking grass.

The majority of this squad has a LOT to make up for. The only ones that come out with any sort of dignity so far to me are James, Fatawu (just) and Vestergaard (for his goals, mind – which is bizarre in itself).

The rest – sheesh, talk about underperforming.

I don't think he means either of your interpretations

I liked his interview, and he gives me better vibes than Marti did. It is still a massive job to get anything out of this squad though, and if he gets off to a bad start, then that will be that IMO.

However, if we get a new Manager bounce, then I think he will do enough to keep us clear of relegation.

He has the incentive of earning a longer contract at the end of the season, so we haven't made the same mistake of throwing out 3 year deals.

Good luck to him! Hopefully, we will at least have a Manager we like, as opposed to our easy to hate Players.

Those pair of idiots would probably think he means the fans or something, could never be them.

I agree. I despise Ayew. But Rowett will come in with a blank slate and see just two strikers - one with established premier league experience. Let’s not meltdown come Saturday at 11:15am.

I don’t think Ayew is Rowett‘s kind of player at all.

Obviously that was meant tongue-in-cheek.

Mukasa has had as much impact in his first game than Ayew had in his first eleven this season (1 goal, 1 assist).

Let that sink in.
