It's mad that the best striker we can give this guy is Daka.

Hull signed f***ing Oliver McBurnie for free at the start of the year and he's the third highest scorer in the league with 13 goals.

Thats all very good but does he run about a lot? As it seems to be a strikers priority to some in these parts

Didn't Hull have a transfer embargo when they signed McBurnie as well? Rudkin so shit at getting strikers in, he was outdone by an embargoed club.

To be fair, this place would have melted down if we signed Ollie McBurnie at the start of the season...

We should have signed Carlton morris. he’s a very basic option but he’s also effective. (Especially at this level).

We were naive, we were not fully aware of the horrors of Ayew that we woukd be firced to endure for the next 8 months

It’s fine complaining about the subs but realistically what other options did he have. You could argue Monga definitely but he’s still green as grass, the squad is utter dogshit

But the experts today were saying pre game  what a strong bench we had!

i don’t get what’s happening- from the 2 scrapping away games to today’s passive same old again. Baffling .

Yeah, you're right. But we all knew Daka and Ayew were limited. I'm not sure how anyone thought we were getting promoted with those 2 up front. Anyone over 6ft who could head the ball I'd have been happy with. I think the fact he was free might have helped people accept it.

The fact he cost money I can sort of understand why we didn't. Just anyone over 6ft with physical presence and I'd have been happy.

Marti didn't acknowledge this in 30+ games, but Rowett's done it 3. Why do opposition wingers have acres of space whereas ours are doubled and triple up. Answer workrate.  I think it dawned on Rowett what our biggest problem is, we've got too many lazy players.

We could have the world's best 11 and still be crap..

If the players have the wrong attitude and approach to any game

It means nothing

He's better than any strikers we have .. Where's the meltdown when we have to keep see daka stinking the place out .. we signed Richards on loan and boy he must be absolutely dog shit again a complete waste of money and time

When will the club learn

Bet he badly misses being at Oxford. Would've been luxury compared to managing this lot.

He'd have like 2 goals in our side. We don't create enough

Think he just got a glimpse of what a tough job he has.

Honest in his interview, people don’t work hard enough on the pitch.

Alright being honest ( nothing that’s not been said on here all season) is he capable of changing it…..I’ll forget next week, but he’s got ten games after that…..

Agree completely. Just think it might have became really clear to him.

I feel like he took a different approach yesterday. Like he was trying to get the clean sheet monkey off our backs and we were much less adventurous going forward.

On the face of it it was awful, and Norwich were pretty comfortable, but they're in decent form and that was the lowest xG they've created for the last 6 games.

Feels desperate at the moment but I do think James and Lascelles getting back, will see us pick up more points this month.

Not suggesting we’ll suddenly pick up loads of wins but he has to do something different during matches when making subs.
Changing players like for like won’t make a difference.
Change the system play 2 up front.
I know the options available are shit but it has to be something that the opposition isn’t expecting especially at home.
Put Mavididi or Fatuwo thru the middle or put 1 of them alongside Daka.
Taking Fatuwo off for Mavididi or Monga and Daka for Ayew offers nothing different for the opposition.

100 % agree.

Can't believe we're still playing the same system after all these managers with the same outcome.

I'd raise you one further and throw Hutchinson in there. He can't be any worse than Daka or Ayew and if he didn't score in 5 games and is abhorrent at that level, then nothing lost anyway...

I have a sneaky feeling he'd bag though...

I think you’re right about a different approach. I thought from how we started yesterday we would ride on new found confidence but slowly Norwich took control.

I heard a comment on the comms that recently Norwich were averaging 2 goals per game conceded, so why didn’t we have a go at them second half? I can’t remember a clear chance apart from the Daka tackle on their keeper. No urgency or spark going forward and it was like Marti again.

WTF are you talking about? There is one every time he walks on to the pitch.
