Has anything interesting or strange happened on your way to or from a Leicester game?

 

Before the home game against Portsmouth on April 20th 1991, I was in the city centre with my brother when a lady said to me "He´s stealing that bike". We turned and saw a dodgy looking bloke with bolt cutters trying to steal a padlocked bike, with an equally dodgy looking woman keeping guard. We approached him and before it got nasty I had a brainwave and said "I´ll going to tell that copper".  There was no copper but it worked and they walked off. 

We carried on to the ground. It felt good, but perhaps they just waited a couple of minutes, returned and nicked it!

 

I´ve got some more interesting tales, but my lawyer has advised me not to make them public.

Once got beaten up in front of Coppers after we beat Leeds at Elland Road. Vowed never to go back, and never have. (40 years) Hate the town, hate the people.

I've been beat up a few times for singing Leicester songs in train stations when I should have known better. 

 

And woke up in a field after Stoke away.

Had no intention of going to the game, some guy comes up to me and threatens me if I didn't leave it. 

It could have got nasty but then he said he'll get the Police on me! 

 

I left it alone for about half an hour, they all walked off to the game and I went back to get the bike.

He seemed an interesting fella, the look of someone who has had an experience or two and stories to tell from it.

Not Leicesters related but I was walking to Molyneux to watch England play Hungary and felt something land in my hood…. The biggest bird shit you’ve ever seen.

What a fcking khazi of a place. I remember their fans doing nazi salutes after the game had ended.

I see what you did there .  My life is very boring - I´m the James Milner of the fan world.

In fact the excitement didn´t end there. We beat Pompey and then we got on the train back to London, only to find it full of the Chelsea mob coming back from Forest, after they´d lost 7-0. Fortunately they were OK and didn´t kick our heads in

Went to Bristol Rovers away (league 1 season) with 2 mates who aren't leicester fans. I was the only one with a leicester top on and as we were leaving the stadium, a big group of Rovers fans were heading towards the away end and the police came in between us. As we were walking away from the stadium, my mates were getting all sorts of threats from their fans (despite not having any team colours on and not even being LCFC fans). Very strange folk them Bristol Rovers fans.

Not sure if it qualifies as we’d made it back to our home town after Watford at home on Friday night. Lost 2-1 after being 2-0 down so we never got chance to use our blue smoke grenades 

 

We decided to let them off on the dance floor of the local nightclub instead. 
 

No different to dry ice, right? 
 

 

Well as we ran away, the music stopped and they were all evacuated. One of us got caught, the other didn’t

Aged about 16 I got chased by Wolves fans calling me and my mates "Pakis". Was after a game towards the end of the Micky Adams promotion season.

 

I'm white but was in a group with 5 mates, half of which were Asian. We all got away unscathed, but one of the Asian lads never came to the football with us again

Once on Narborough Road a women was walking 2 dogs. Waiting at the crossing one of them jumped in to the road and was hit by a car which was going very slowly. She then dropped the lead so the dog (a greyhound) ran off. She started screaming, had a full on melt down. Then without really saying a word, forced the other dog lead onto me and just ran off.

 

So I was just stood there on Narborough Road holding a dog lead with a confused greyhound looking at me while it's owner ran off into a street off Narborough Road.

 

Doubt they'll ever read it, but thanks to the couple who took the dog off me so I could get to the game.

Got a flat on the motorway travelling to boro years ago. Had to get rescued and got a cab to the ground.
 

After the game (think we won) we had to find somewhere to stay the night… so knocked on the door of a very dodgy looking B&B, which was opened by the owner who was wearing boxers and also very obviously sexually aroused.

A local met us off the train at Bristol Temple Meads station and literally gave us a tour of the city and walked us to Ashton Gate, we neither knew him nor asked him to. Strange but fantastic hospitality.

I went to the Chinese in Syston and got some chicken balls once at about 10.30pm after a home game and had heart burn all night.  

 

I cant recall the exact game.  

 

Edit: I should say a Chinese in Syston, theres about four and I cant remember the exact one. Maybe Happy Garden

With my dad used to park at a car park near to de Montford uni I think. I used to call it the 'Carl Heggs carpark' because I thought the guy running it looked like Carl Heggs. My Dad used to say it looked nothing like him. This went on for a couple of years. Became a running family joke. 

 

One time we rocked up to park and the guy wasn't there, somebody else was. First time ever I think. We asked where the guy was and his mate said, "he's gone to watch his brother play football"...
