So, we have an absolute ****s thread. Now we have an absolute legends thread.

They dont have to be super iconic, I just wanna hear about people who you think are good, solid people. Brilliant at what they do, experts in their field. Just people your think 'that person is great'.

I mean, Zelenskyy is the obvious one in today’s world.

But less political I think of Tarn Adams who has been making the phenomenal video game Dwarf Fortress for over 25 years with help from his brother and a 3rd person finally brought on board a few years ago. Pretty much hands down the most ambitious example of a “indie” video game ever largely made by a single individual to the point where the every character in the game even has their own short and long term memory systems and just a really cool guy when interviewed and to people who play the games.

Is it a 3rd person game?

I'll get my coat.

Im a big fan of Louis Theroux. Probably one of the best documentary makers there has ever been. A thoroughly nice, intelligent, articulate guy who trys to give balance to some of the most difficult to understand issues whilst simultaneously being able to completely dismantle with ease and integrity anybody who spouts nonsense.

You can also see he properly cares about rhe people he meets.

Agreed.  Even these complete knobheads in the latest doco, he sees through the nonsense.

I'd love to go for a few beers with Ally McCoist. He just seems like a great bloke.

Comes across well on the tele but this is a bloke who cheated on his wife, was convicted of assaulting a teenager and he's a drunk driver.

Ian Wright.

Mo Farah.

Both just come across as absolutely lovely genuine blokes.

Just imagine having Ian Wright as your mate, just a thoroughly lovely bloke it would seem

Mosquito pilot Colin Bell DFC. Now aged 105. Still sharp as a tack and walks without a stick. Asked about his longevity he said its a combination of exercise, alcohol and the love of good women with the odd bad one thrown in.

Unfortunately, a lot of people who have committed selfless acts are dead. Would quite like to meet Neil Young though.

Passed away 15 years ago (RIP) but I always resented him after he scored the winning goal against us at Wembley in the 1969 FA Cup final.

Sadly died a couple of years ago but inventor/scientist James Lovelock must have had a hell of an entertaining life. Here is is as a 101 year old with his eyes lighting up like a cheeky school kid who’d just got one over his teacher.

I met him at a Leicester match, and I must admit he wasn't the greatest person (in that moment). Must admit it was only 30 seconds or so, but it wasn't the best.
