On the face of it a decent point but so nearly 3 which would have been vital. Putting huge pressure on us winning against Preston and Sheff Weds.

I think West Brom probably pull clear now, I'm certainly hoping they beat Blackburn anyway. Eyes on Pompey going on a really shit run now.

I think if we take 4 points from Blackburn and Pompey then we stay up.

What a truly grim season. Glad for a break from watching this awful team struggle to win matches and remain in a battle to stay out of the third division.

What use is a game in hand to Portsmouth the way they’re playing? Have you seen their run-in? They’re down.

Today was an opportunity missed but we gained ground on Portsmouth and Oxford, and didn’t lose any ground to Blackburn. West Brom’s win is annoying but overall our position is slightly less bleak than it was before the game. And the return of Lascelles is a major positive.

We’re shit. Never mind about them, we need to make ground on them and we’re absolutely crap. How many must-win games have we had?

Or are we just believe they haven’t considered we might go down yet? Yeh, actually, that’s what Top always says, I cannot only assume all the players assume we’ll be fine.

Why not try Vestergard up front? At 10 feet tall he would be useful at corners and free kicks. Let's be honest anythings got to be better than Daka and Ayew!!

He went up front at the end of a game before he was injured and looked our biggest threat.

Interesting that the manager settled for the point, whereas the fans wanted us to go forward.

Imo a point wasn't enough. We should have gone for it.

If you can't take your chances then what chance do we have of winning games.

Hey a clean sheet. 2 in 3 games.

Keep the faith!

In no way am I a happy fox or a happy clapper but I do see improvement and a bit of identity under Rowett. If only we weren't so fragile mentally. But then again, that's our 1st 0-0 this season. Perhaps our mentality is improving too.

The next 4 games we need a minimum of 10 pts. Drop Daka from the squad as he’s a terrible footballer. A nice lad but clearly not good enough at this level. Put JJ or Mukasa upfront. Not sure if there’s an academy striker to step in but if there is then get him in the squad. Can’t be any worse.

So dissatisfied not to get all 3 but this was a Watford team who had an outside chance of a play off place,  and we outperformed them. We were nothing special but we have some easier teams to play against coming up so I’m confident we can beat the drop

The pre-match thread was full of predictions that we’d get thrashed today, all our rivals would win and we’d be cut adrift by now. As it turned out, we’re in a slightly better position than we were before the game.

When viewed in the context of our remaining fixtures, today was more of a ‘must-not-lose’ than a must-win game. And for the first time in a very long time we actually looked defensively sound. Yes we’re shit but I suspect that over the remaining games we’ll no prove to be less shit than at least two of our rivals at the bottom and survive. Today made me more confident in that prediction, not less.

Pompey have to play Cov, Boro and Ipswich as well as us and Oxford.

Blackburn's run in is not much easier.

Im hoping Blackburn will pull away so they have nothing to play for last game of the season tbh. Feels like its going to be between us, Oxford and Portsmouth
