I’m not sure it will matter too much what team we put out with regards to midfielders and attackers. Scoring is not really our problem. We have GOT to iron out the mistakes at the back and get some stability and cohesion back there. I see most posts talking about this midfielder or that  but other than Sheffield United no one else in the bottom 12 have scored more than us… but only Sheffield Wednesday has conceded more than us.

Not saying play Ayew of course, just saying that our focus really should be at the back…

Daka and BDCR won't start given that they'll be back so late from international commitments. James also a big doubt. So, I guess Rowett will go for Mukasa in the 10 with Ayew:mad: up front.

Has Daka actually gone on international duty, he's not been in the Zambian squad for either match. Or maybe he's injured.

He's in Argentina for the friendly there that starts at around 10pm BST tomorrow.

Yeah because Ayew is such a better option.

Sent Ayew to join him.  Give the kids a chance can’t do any worse

I was looking at the Zambian squads that played Malawi last Saturday & Zimbabwe last night, didn't realise they had another team. Bit confused now ,but like you say they played in Argentina as well.

He should have pulled out of the squad.Massive game Friday and in Argentina for a meaningless game which in the end he played in for 30 minutes in a thrashing.

I agree. But Rowett won't do that—if Daka can't play because he's jetlagged, he'll play Ayew.

Just noticed that Daka played in Argentina. He's genuinely going to start Ayew.

Cant quite believe that both our d1ck head strikers with about 6 goals between them have been away on international duty this week, and are going to come back knackered before a must win game.

                   Stolarczyk

Ricardo Okoli Lascelles Thomas

               Skipp Winks

 Fatawu.     James.     Mukasa

                   Mavididi

If James is injured, Monga in and shift Mukasa to the middle

I suspect you are right. I mean I quite like Rowett overall, but his obsession with picking experience over talented youth, even if the experience available to him is utter dogshit, is infuriating.

He’s going to need to use Richard’s.

Yeah he will need to, however Daka will start and rotate with Ayew. Infuriating

Even more infuriating is that he'll start Ayew, as Daka is still out of the country

I spotted this as a bit of a trend in his signings at previous clubs and it does put me off him in the long run. Slightly Cooper-esque recruitment.

Nothing will change unless they have been practising how to pass the ball into space, the attackers to run into that space, players offer support and pass to players that can bothered to get in the box.

Sadly we have another manager whose tactics have peaked at keep it tight.
