That was probably his last game having already fallen out with the owners. The BCFC fans sided with him over the Lansdowns following the winter transfer window that derailed their season. 1

He’s got zero funds at Portsmouth and knows they’re treading water, they’ll be in a similar position or worse next season. He’ll be used to managing a club with one hand tied behind his back and would be the ideal man until things settle down. Despite what their fans say Leicester are a far bigger club.
The Guvnor Posted 23 April Posted 23 April (edited) AI has very quickly displayed three candidates. Skubala Moore Caldwell Failing that approach Warnock for one last hurrah ! At least that would be amusing ! Edited 23 April by The Guvnor

We havent signed a player permanently for 2 windows. Our last signing was £3m while we were in the PL. We ARE bigger club than Pompey but the budget next year is going to be nothing out of the ordinary in League One.

Eustace a good example of this, left Blackburn in the play off spaces for Derby in a relegation fight and swapped places within a year
RichardGearman Posted 23 April Posted 23 April Would not be surprised if we go in for callum mcfarlane since twice now he's been made interim chelsea manager and been working with youth players. Huge risk and don't know if he has the minerals.

Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 23 April Posted 23 April I’m fed up of being angry - manager, players, owners etc. it’s been 5 years of shit. One manager who I just about liked during that time. I need someone to really get behind Just fluke it and get it right you tits.
JimJams Posted 23 April Posted 23 April 6 hours ago, indierich06 said: Fuchs has done an 'ok' job at best - of course you have to take into account the fact that he took over when they were rock bottom of the league - but his stats don't make for great reading to be fair. They concede fewer goals under him - makes sense given he was a defender - but their PPG and GPG aren't anything to write home about. Again, it needs context - but historically Newport are better than this. Having watched Newport before and after his appointment to keep track of Braybrooke, they were absolute dogshit before his appointment. They're not exactly great now, but he has improved them. Any calls for him, or frankly any of our former players bar Robins and probably Wellens is pretty ridiculous though. Unless I'm forgetting someone who has proven themselves.

fox_favourite Posted 23 April Posted 23 April I wouldn't mind Wellens. But will we have to blame him for everything again?
Winstonthedog Posted 23 April Posted 23 April I'm going for Jon Rudkin.... as the next manager ... after the first few games without a win .... he will have to be sack .... its the only way to get rid of him
Lambert09 Posted 23 April Posted 23 April We will spend all summer trying to get Liam rosenior in, I almost guarantee it. And then eventually he will get a good offer accept it and we will pick up the one candidate all the fans have been fearful of getting linked.

You could do a lot worse, as long as you back him (Lansdown didn't). But if your owners want to get the fanbase back onside quickly, the guy in my profile pic is the only choice. 1
Sunbury Fox Posted 23 April Posted 23 April (edited) If Stockport don't go up, and possibly even if they do, then I would seriously look at Dave Challinor. He's had season after season of promotions - or at least getting to the play offs - and knows the league and its players very well. He may now think Stockport have reached their ceiling and want a new challenge at a club with more potential. His appointment would have Brian Little vibes, I think. Edited 23 April by Sunbury Fox 1
