Sell 1 for big money and bring in 3/4 to replace those called out. Then you can loan out and sell those at smaller fees.

The club should have sold one regardless. Particularly Tielemans on two years left with no intention of signing a new deal

Agree RE Tielemans, but you’re assuming also that other clubs wanted to buy those players on those wages

Either way, it’s easier and cheaper to replace one face/known quantity than 4/5 others

Some excellent posts in here, in particular @Swarles Barkley and @Sampson

It’s personally reached the point for me where I don’t allow Leicester to ruin my weekend. Apathy started to set in years ago, now it’s reached boiling point. After seeing us go 1-0 down today, I just laughed and shrugged, and got back to concentrating on other sports.

For the first time as a Leicester fan, I literally cba and fail to care.

What is sad though, is plenty of fans feel that exact same way. There’s been plenty of posters on here in recent months, who have been supporting Leicester and have been on this forum longer than I have, stating that they just don’t care and won’t bother renewing their season tickets.

This club has become so rotten, it’s turning away fans who have been going since the 70’s-80’s.

We’ve seen some big clubs get destroyed in recent years, we’re well on course to be the next one.

Bolton, Wigan to name a few, I can easily see us going through what they went through.

So let’s park Rodgers to aside then; let’s say he isn’t manager, it’s someone

Do you not think then we needed some new players ?

For example, the Schmeichel situation was coming and he’s not been any good post Leicester.

I absolutely hate this club.

To add to the on field disaster, I seen a young lad being held by his throat by his Dad and the stewards did nothing without being pushed into responding. If only I'd shown them a drink with a lid on.

Absolute disgusting place to be and I'm glad I've got a minimum of 4 months away from the place. I just can't be around it anymore

Of course they’ll go.  They’ll take pay cuts to avoid playing in League 1.  Thomas might stay, because League 1 is his level, but he’ll take a pay cut because there are relegation clauses.

I’m not sure they will, they will stay and stink the place out like they have this year. Most of them didn’t want to play in the Championship. I’m not sure any of the players have clauses for double relegation either. And yes the club are that clueless. You assume these clowns consider outcomes other than ‘we promote’

I think with a new face as manager those players who Rodgers threw under the bus would revive their performances again. Bar Maddison and Soyuncu (although he did briefly end up at Atletico) have all gone on to bigger and better things. Barnes scored against Barcelona the other week, but he wasn’t good enough to beat a league below us Forest?

I don’t buy the Kasper argument either. Never mind on the pitch, where he was vastly better than Iversen or Ward, he’d have NEVER let standards slip the way they did.

In any case, all of those players at the club the day of that Forest game were either

A) Signed with Rodgers’ agreement

B) Finished Top 5 in the PL and got us into our much talked up about European Semi Final

They could take a lot from watching how Aussie Rules players go about it. Throw themselves into any contest, play for each other and the team. They literally bleed for the team.

These players are all overpaid prima donnas. Get some players in that actually give a shit. Lots of these clowns still think they are Prem quality because of their wages.

I’m guessing that anyone who writes ‘most of the support is complicit’ possibly doesn’t go the ground

So many of you can get in the bin…

Most of the fans are complicit, the vast majority are silent and let this continue, let the perpetrators sit comfortably and enjoy this hospitality in the stadium. It should be so venemous in the stadium Rudkin can’t bare it after he has single handedly destroyed this club.

Soyuncu was shit for Atletico. He played just six games. Yeah I haven’t debated Barnes and I haven’t debated that team should have been good enough to beat Forest.

Schmeichel failed at Nice, took an easy number at Anderlecht but didn’t win anything and now he’s lost his way at Celtic.

You keep making this about Rodgers and it’s not about him.

It’s the criticism that the club stepped away from the system what had worked so well for them. The point that the squad needed a refresh was valid - our back five that day was Ward, Thomas, Amartey, Soyuncu, Justin. Only Justin signed during Rodgers and he was a low risk signing too.

100% innit. King Power won us the prem. If they wanna run us into the ground, they should be allowed to. People are well ungrateful.

Genuinely though this club could go down to the national League north and people like Shaun would go "King power won us the league back the lads they're everything we wished for."

Posting every word from his phone whilst sitting in his special chair facing the double bed his wife is spread out on.

I've never had such an intense feeling of hopelessness with this football club

That's it. Last time we dropped to L1, the lowest point in our history for those that need reminding, we could reset our brains a few weeks later and look at it with some optimism. There are no parallels to thay situation as this is 10 times worse and won't bring much cause for optimism until the owners are gone.

The squad did not need a refresh because we lost to Forest. The squad needed maintenance the same as any other squad does, but there was never any excuse for being hammered by a Championship team in a local derby.

Rodgers’ argument that we needed an overhaul because that group of players wasn’t good enough to beat Forest was obviously untrue and was obviously a lie spun by him to save his job. That was obvious on the day and it’s obvious now.

Frankly, Rodgers apologists are even worse that KP apologists. I’m done with anyone who defends him.
