I'd rather loose Okoli than Nelson but he doesn't to be drawing much interest atm.

I would probably go with 5 of them, changing Skipp with Okoli.

From what I understand it is entirely JM that is leading this.

 

His job description from the owner himself details this, but also I’m hearing from inside that this is actually true and very much the case anyway.

 

More specifically I’ve heard there’s an “alignment” agreement between 3 people in the Club, JM is the one doing all the negotiating and setting up the deals and organising/liaising with the recruitment/academy lining up the targets not just the sales, the trigger is pulled on the releasing of players and signing of players if Martin AND Rudkin are onboard so as to be sure everyone is pulling in the right direction, or atleast an agreed direction.

 

So as I understand it, Rudkin’s actual involvement is basically seeing what James presents to him and Martin, and deciding between themselves wether to make a move or not based on James’s input. And also perhaps setting wage targets for McCarron to negotiate with players contracts running out.
 

Judging by what we are seeing so far with the activity we’ve seen, James has been successful in presenting his cases for sales and signings and the system seems to working. It’s far more efficient than previous years, that has to be down to none other than JM surely? 
 

I’m happy with our outgoings so far and the speed and the deal structures some of which have been impressive tbf, but I’d like to start seeing more signings now, I’m assuming we need to clear the decks abit more and bring more money in before that happens but hopefully progress on that front continues and we start seeing more signings roll in.

 

I’m happy so far with what I’ve seen from our new SD, however I’d actually quite like to hear from him now, I want to hear what he has to say on certain things and get a better judgment on where his thinking’s at rather than making assumptions from what we’ve seen or heard.

I've always thought it would make zero sense A) for James to leave such a position at CFG with no assurances of influence within the position here, and B) to hire him and literally not listen to him with the experiences he’s got

 

I get the Rudkin power complex folks have, it’s completely understandable but when you look at the calibre of JM, there’s no way he was going to be a push over or an unheard voice in the board.

 

To an extent, those worries or concerns imo should have been laid to rest now with what we’ve seen so far from his clear impact, it’s been completely different this summer the way we’ve gone about things, and that’s no coincidence with McCarron's appointment.

 

I’m by no means saying it’s been perfect, but it’s been a huge step forward from what it has been over the years.

 

I’d say as someone else has said, so far so good and to be quite honest, that makes a refreshing change
