I cant help feeling that generally throughout the game football is currently at the point of self destruct.

Years have been spent making stadiums sanitised and corporate. VAR and PSR creating havoc. Big teams finding every loophole.

Then we have players and managers. Often given 2/3 year contracts to stop them leaving if they are decent.

You have Chelsea giving a 6 year contract to a manager who was never up to the job, we have given a 3 year contract to 3 clowns in the last year.

Players in football is the only job where you can turn up for a full season, shrug your shoulders at the end of the game when you have done the equivalent of hiding in the toilet in the afternoon. There is no accountability, no disciplinary process for downing tools, no way to cancel contracts early for ineptitude. I know the levels of ineptitude run much higher at Leicester but the players were good enough not to get relegated, they didn't show the required commitment and desire, that's a performance issue. Now we are stuck with a bunch of morons who don't want to be here, claiming big salaries, it should be possible to sack them upon relegation. They have failed. If I cost my company that amount of money by drifting around half assed all week, id expect some recourse. Its little wonder they are such and obnoxious entitled bunch so detached from reality.

It ever likely that fans who earn a fraction of the money are subjected to much more stringent employment rules are going to have a go at them, and I personally think they are entitled to tell them what they think. If this team put in the same energy they did for 20 minutes for even 10 games this season we wouldn't be where we are, that is how awful they have been.

The reason our lot are so half-arsed is because our contracts aren't incentivised enough. If you've got a guaranteed fortune just for turning up, why do more?

We've essentially ran the club like WCW the past five years.

PSR is just terrible for the game, it was meant to help clubs but all it does is just holds them back. It does the opposite of what it’s meant to do. Needs to be scrapped or radically changed.

Really elite football like the Champions League is at least extremely good quality and very entertaining. Here it's awful because the quality is crap but you still have all the bullshit associated with the top few levels of English football.

Are there many clubs that offer incentivised contracts? Obviously we aren't very good at this stuff but are our contracts massively dissimilar to other clubs of our size? Do we pay what we need to try and compete?

Some of us were talking about all this for years now. We were asking for everyone to come together and boycott this farce. It's been almost 4 years now I've boycotted everything related to this corrupted joke of a sport. But unfortunately I'm in the minority.

And yet, we were happy for someone to come in and gift us a huge amount of money, for us to spend a ridiculous amount going up in the first place. We also got ahead of the curve in using the administration loophole in the early 2000s.

When people talk about a 'good' owner what they usually mean is someone who will spend loads of money without asking for anything back.

Don't forget also that when they had all of you locked down and you were clapping 2m apart from each other, these footballers were participating in orgies with escorts and they were partying every night. Check the scandal in Serie A.

Sounds good to me - we’re talking about the corrupt stuff here

It's 100% worse in pretty much every way, in comparison to 10-30 years ago.

I watched some euro 96 highlights the other year. Teams that were 2-0 up were rushing to get the game restarted when the ball went out of play! It looked ridiculous. The games were so open and fun and entertaining. It felt like a different sport.

Don't even get me started on football off the pitch!

Was it really 'huge' in the grand scheme of things in football? We actually wasted a lot before hand but the promoted team wasn't massively expensive.  Also back in 2000s ITV Digital going bump, us getting relegated, building a new stadium and Dennis Wise had a massive impact on the administration situation. We actually agreed a CVA which may or may not have worked until Dennis Wise stuck his nose in. I fundamentally don't agree with the Administration deduction or PSR deduction unless they can prove you have gained sporting advantage.

English Football is English football and it’s not going to change. So Largely no it’s not broken as it’s making money. The most money in the world.

If you want an authentic version of it go and follow your local non league team, I got involved with one, I know plenty of other people got involved with one or followed one who were in the fan setup back in 2008, if you actually have that much of a problem with modern football that’s what you should have done a long time ago.

Rather than some people who are trying to kill a beast they never will be capable of killing, ironically unless they try and do the same thing.

The statement by fan groups “football is nothing without fans” is largely unfounded, as there is someone richer and dumber than you willing to take your seat.

This is something Ze Germans have been trying to prevent for years and they’ve somewhat managed it.

I'm really hoping that supporters can re connect with the club. It might be a blessing in disguise to go down and try and bring the youngsters in with a combination of experience. If we had stayed up we would have the same losers next season.  Hopefully they will be gone and we can have a fresh start. It may take a couple of seasons to get back up but I'll take that.

One thing to add is Marinakis supposedly relinquishing control of Forest again in case they win the Europa League and qualify for the Champions League, allowing both them and Olympiakos to both compete in the tournament if that eventuality occurs.

Regardless of whether what he's done complies with the laws of the game, if he can repeatedly make remove and reinstall himself into a position of control, surely that proves he's the man in charge all along?

Bournemouth do, I daresay all the clubs who operate shrewdly do.
