Still can't believe we haven't brought in any better CB options - Souttar and Okoli do not have the ball playing ability or speed that we need. Really hope we can move them out fast.

Looks like we need 3 CBs going to need to be a mix of loans and proven players - not that many likely to come to us still think it will be brother John Souttar and a loan hopefully Malachi Hardy. Maybe then a free transfer as number three I’ve said before Noel Atom free agent released by Brighton big guy but raw

Imagine Harry Souttar but not as fast, not as good in the air and not as good on the ball, and smaller. 

 

Let me put it this way, he's probably Scotlands 4th choice CB.... and he would cost a few million.

It seems that Dufkin & co have been totally charmed by Russ and are allowing him to dictate transfer policy. It is the same sh1t that happened under Rodgers and look where that got us. For CB's we want to be looking in Europe, Scotland or Leafue 1 & 2 for CB's between the ages of 22-26 who are ball comfortable but have the necessary defensive qualities required as well as good athleticism. Most importantly though, someone who wants to come here and prove themselves.

I'll be honest, I don't follow our youth teams as closely as a lot of you do on here. 

 

But he's 18 and if the stats on transfermarkt are even vaguely accurate, he scored 15 goals with 5 assists in 15 games last year for the youth team? Given we've barely any strikers is it considered unusual he's not been the one playing for us instead of Otchere? For him to have a high enough profile that Lazio would even be a believable rumour let alone a real one he's got to be alright? 

 

Any idea how good he actually is or how close to the senior squad he is?

i suspect there is interest for others and Lazio might have bid, but lets face it, Lazio probably offered £5.50 and a pack of pasta, because as we know Italian teams think we'll aceept pennies for players

It's an absolute mystery as he's impressed at every level been asked of him. In pre-season he's looked capable with the 1st team too. He presses extremely well, is strong on the ball and basically everything Reid isn't.

 

There'll be weaknesses to his game currently but Reid and Cullen have many too and cut about the gaff like Batistuta in Martin's eyes.
