Just like when Barcelona apparently wanted Choudhury and Man Utd wanted Schlupp, this is an agent angling for a contract/more first team involvements.

This exactly.

Just seen Jadel Katongo got released by his Turkish side, was at Man City previously and interest from the championship, centre back, 21, good on the ball and he would immediately start for us, surely worth a try unless we are talking your top 6 championship sides

Can also play holding midfield and right back, we'd be crazy to not have a try.

Depends, which Turkish side and why was he released?

His not coming here, will have plenty of offers.

Most likely not but why not put some money down and see, he’d be a guaranteed starter in a ball playing side that should dominate games. If you’re looking to build a reputation choosing a team higher up the pyramid may not benefit him and his next contract is pretty massive at his age. Our record with selling on talent and our facilities I could see being a big bonus as well

McCarron can sell him the dream as well :) - they might have worked together at Man City.

He'd be an ideal signing but apparently has offers from Italy, Portugal and the Championship so seems unlikely. You'd hope we'd reach out anyway, he might not be a guaranteed starter elsewhere like he would be for us.

Aberdeen had started talks with his Turkish club mid July but finances were a bit of a blocker, then all of a sudden there’s a mutual cancellation of his contract?
I wonder if they are still interested & the fact they had shown that interest he might be open to going SPL.

As has previously been mentioned sides in championship as well as Italy & Portugal are being linked we can just hope there is a crumb of a connection between him & McC.

I do wonder about that mutual termination what’s in it for the Club?

edit: Seems he wasn’t getting game time so he wanted out & the club saw a potential to get his ‘high’ wages off their books despite only being there 6mths 🤷‍♂️

Is it me or have there been no links to anyone any more?

The ownership issue and club sale putting a stop to being linked to anyone?

Frustrating but the Harry Howell deal does show things happening without any links

I think we're at one in, one out stage now. If Faes goes, we replace him. If Souttar goes, we replace him.

Hopefully the scouting department have been proactive in identifying replacements across the squad.

This is what worries us all. If we dont sell either Okoli or Souttar they both partner each other and ruin the team as they cant play RM style and pass 5 yards.

I don’t think Souttar is going anywhere, Faes will get a move and it’ll depend on if we can bring in two centre backs for the money as to whether we then let Okoli leave

Still think he goes, will just drag on for a bit.

Bobby Reid needs telling in no uncertain terms to find a new club and get gone.

Why would he want to find a new club when he's getting paid handsomely here. Would you take a pay cut for a year, when at the end of this season he'll be a free agent and can pick up another signing on fee (albeit quite small and providing he can find a club that will take him on)

One in, one out is all well and good, but we need another striker In...but no strikers left to go Out 🤨

Nothing will happen with striker till the last day of the window and at best it'll be a loan. RM has stated we have 2 #9's and Reid who can play there. wether we like/agree with it or not, it is not a priority and will be the last thing we look at if we even do.

He's had his wages cut by at least two thirds since he signed here, so yes I think he probably would.

Him and Skipp are the worst players in this team. I don’t know how Reid played for so long in the prem.

But that's still likely to be more than he's going to get at a new club - he's League 1 standard at best and his wage compared to what other L1 clubs will pay will be significantly more at Leicester, even after two wage cuts, I would have thought. Just my opinion.
