We officially hired Marti the day before the start of pre season to be able to split some financials up surrounding Ruud's departure that needed to be in a specific FY. So whenever pre season starts. Late June?

Pre-season had been going on for at least a couple of weeks before we hired Cifuentes? He came in in the middle of July?

Haha what, I guess I just dreamed those videos of King taking training and two pre season games then

Could be worse, the new manager only appointed half-way through next season to save money, whilst languishing in the bottom three and having our usual interim manager a certain Mr King in charge til then.

Jon Rudkin's statement word for word - obviously he's already started the process to bring in a new manager and we can expect an elite coach for this level imminently right?

I imagine in tandem he's working tirelessly on the recruitment plan in line with his master strategy?

"It requires a long-term vision built on careful planning, discipline and consistency, while retaining the agility to respond to the immediate demands of an intensely competitive environment.
“We approach that challenge with clarity, unity and determination, and we are fully committed to building a Club that our supporters can be proud of, both now and in the years ahead.”

Or in the real world - he's on the beach looking at his bank balance laughing at us all....waiting for his favourite agents to do the hard work for him and offer up some options at the last minute...

Not a chance.

Just remember....  Rudkin is STILL here

Also...be  careful what you wish for!

They didn’t really want him in the first place! They’re not going to give it to him long term now.

More fool me if I have trusted The Athletic when I shouldn't. Could be I misunderstood.

4:40 - "They were looking for their 6th new manager in 4 years having sacked Marti Cifuentes, who himself was not appointed until the eve of the first day of pre season so the cost of sacking he predecessor, Ruud Van Nistelroy, could be deffered to the following years accounts for financial purposes"

Yeah I like Tifo but they're wrong on this one. They did also call Lee Congerton, Lee Congleton – so I don't think they're infallible!

Don't think he's done enough to earn that nickname yet.

Very good !

When Lord Nelson

When Van Gogh gets his ear back

When Aiyawatt doesn’t act like a dummy

That’s when we’ll appoint a manager

Seriously if there’s a professional football club that is run worst than ours at this moment in time then Christ they must be bad !!

It’s a shambles !!!

😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 😹 at anyone thinking this will happen anytime soon.

You do realise it's Polo pre season. Everything stops for KPPC.

Strategic performance plan of action

  1. Call Enzo, Graham Potter & Will Still. Leave a voicemail if they don't pick up
  2. Go on a nice long holiday, after all, we deserve a rest after a long season
  3. Mid July, no luck yet, no need to panic
  4. August 2nd, *shit we need a manager*, okay, call Gary back in, along with Ferguson and some other has been
  5. August 8th "we can confirm Gary Rowett will be staying on a 3 year deal to propel us straight back into the championship".

The mad thing is, this is barely parody. It could actually happen.

if this man child spends the summer ****ing about on horses instead of grafting to get us back on track i will lose the last remaining shred of hope i still have for him to turn things around and go full KP out. that doesnt mean i want the statue removed or will forget what his father achieved, but i will want that little tosser gone

I think we all know the answer to that.

Anyone know how much time he's spent at the club in the last 12 months?

Re: leaving it late to sack Ruud because of accounting considerations

Is that even a factor in League One?

From what I’ve read, we are moving from a system that caps overall losses to one that links player wages directly to revenue

What I’m not sure about is whether they need to delay a sacking again so as not to breach this year (under Championship rules)…

Rowett's contract expires at the end of June, doesn't it? We aren't extending rather than sacking, a bit like Dean Smith

Yes I believe you're correct. But why the delay in announcing Rowett's departure? He'll be paid up to the end of his contract.

If he's not staying on it should be announced as so and we should be actively pursuing his replacement.

Am I correct in thinking all current contracts end on 30th June ? .... so thinking sensibly ( give it a go Rudkin / Top ) the new appointment should be 1July ... no baggage and just look forward .... however the new manager should know he has the position earlier to be given time for planning, getting a backroom team together and identifying players to sign ... its called planning and preparation.... you can have a look at that as well Rudkin and Top
