If either of those teams beat Qatar, that should take them into the knockout stages.

 

With 8 out of 12 third-placed teams going through, there's bound to be 1-2 groups where the 3rd place team has 1-2 points and several groups where the the 3rd place team has 3 points.

4 points will take any team through, I reckon.

If we had end product we could get somewhere.  Not good enough to win a world cup but just need to keep pushing on.

 

Multiculturalism and popularity of football has helped us big time in the last 20 years. Football is the most played game in Canada which a lot of people dont know. 

 

When I was growing up we had decent amounts of ethnic Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian where I grew up, and the games were brutal. 

 

My youngest brother played on the same teams that today are producing some of these stars. I loved driving him to his matches because seeing the talent against teams in Brampton, Woodbridge, Ajax or Mississauga etc was something to get excited about. 

 

Now, looking forward to England putting in a shift.

Scenes when it emerges that Canada had a spy in Bosnia's hydration-break huddle. Or bugged water bottles or something, i dunno. Something something Southampton.

It wasn't irrelevant though as the keeper could still be sent off. 

 

For once I agree with Rooney it's a clear red. If you tackle by winning the ball and wipe the player out with force it's a nailed on red so why is it different for keepers? If anything it should be even stricter because they're bashing someone's head with their fists and potentially concussing them.

Yes good point - certainly was very robust despite getting the ball first .
