Spain look very pedestrian to me. Not moving it fast enough, not so sharp. Cape Varde obviously doing a great job though

I half agree, so hard to move it fast when you’re up against a block like this.

Spain goal feels inevitable.

Not sure about some of these stadiums for football, there seems to be a void between the fans and the playing surface; from the walled off stands to the void of utility space behind the goals. Really looking forward to EURO 2028 where we have truly fit for purpose stadia.

It’s one of those, Cape Verde been excellent… but Spain not at their usual fluent best, they aren’t forcing the issue, it’s all been in front on them. Yamal could well just do that though

They've got a whole tournament to get through, in pretty hot climates, with more teams, and can easily win the group even dropping some points.

Teams that go full gas for the whole tournament will run out of steam.

Games like this are rarely entertaining other than for a bit of schadenfreude. Cape Verde are such massive underdogs that the best they can do is park the bus and hope and nobody is going to fault them for that but it's not gonna make the game exciting is it? Spain will get the criticism but there's not really any style of play that's good to watch when your opponent refuse to engage at all and just bet it all on their keeper.

I'm finding this entertaining and suspenseful.  I'll take any heroes I can get in this corrupt (but nonetheless beautiful) tournament.  And I'm inspired by CV's level of effort and disicipline.

Sure OK but you're still not entertained by the quality of football are you, you're entertained by your investment.
