A polite note to ITV Sport: I am aware that Lamine Yamal is a very good footballer. You don’t need to be remind me of that fact by heaping giddy superlatives on him every time he completes a simple five-yard pass…

Are Saudi Arabia shite? Maybe they could sneak a result. I doubt they will care though. This would be akin to winning the tournament for them.

Hmmm, I can see Uruguay doing away with them but Saudi Arabia....outside possibility of getting something.

Makes the group interesting at least, if Spain balls up against Uruguay, they'll probably still go through but could be looking at a game in the 32 they wouldn't be wanting that early.

Based on previous World Cups since 2010 the likely result is Spain will win 1 game at this World Cup.

Nah, they've got loads of travel and play abit in Miami which is a sweatbox. France have everything going for them, nailed on favourites. England need to be careful if we win the group and have to go over to play Mexico in the Azteca altitude and heat.

Most likely, with France they are the two best teams… but Uruguay isn’t so straight forward, and then you could run into a tricky last 32 tie. Just makes things that little bit more uncomfortable for them.

Cape Verde are no mugs and certainly not like Curacao who have qualified because of the expansion and the fact the three best teams in their region are the hosts.

They’ve been excellent in Africa for the last few years and probably would have qualified even for a 32 team World Cup after beating Cameroon in the group stages.

Hopefully they beat Saudi Arabia and qualify.

Thunder storms forecast for the next 7 hours in miami. Could be on for our first late doors or postponed game.  If there is a lightning strike within 8 miles, there must be 30 minutes of no more strikes to carry on/start.

Florida will be a pain this tournament.
