I didn’t want him here, last person I wanted appointed, but even I’m starting to feel sorry for him tbh. Bloke can’t win, he isn’t the root of our problems.

before the last result it felt like the atmosphere around the place was going in the right direction for the first time is ages, but Oxford was an absolute hammer blow to that

I mean fair play to the lad for believing his ability but fvck me Russell, your football doesn’t work mate. Instead of overcomplicating things and trying to implement ideas that the team just cannot do, try going back to basics and kick on from there.

Tool.

I mean, he's pulled Lucy Pinder despite having that hair and that face so it will take more than being embarrassed at home by Oxford to knock his self confidence.

Why are you here discussing Russell Martin's coaching ability and the results he's getting when we're in a world with much more important things to worry about like the current geopolitical and geoecomonic landscape??

can Russell Martin get Liam Cullen playing like Gazza - boring, asked to death

can Russell Martin negotiate a lasting peace in Gaza - novel, dynamic career change

Where does he get this arrogance from? He’s been shit everywhere…….

People around him love him. Our own Gary Lineker has given him a platform on several occasions and said he’s a top manager. Pep (even if he was taking the piss) loved him.

Even Wes Burns partner replied to a fan saying “don’t worry Martin will be gone soon” with “I think he’s top, fans are fickle”

If those around him build him up then he’s bound to clap back at the press and people he doesn’t know.

He’s probably a really nice bloke if you know him, which means he can fool people into supporting his ways.

Sure we all have a view, but he says this:

"Leicester City manager Russell Martin says he is bemused by why he "upsets so many people" and feels criticism he has received has "become really personal"."

I'd say this, you are asking your players to play in a way they are not physically or mentally capable of doing at THIS level with their attributes or ability.  That is leading to 4-6 golden opportunities for every side we have faced so far in this league.

Counter to that we don't have the energy, ability, skill to set up enough chances to counter that OR look considerably better than the other sides we have played, recent relegations have included seasons when we have looked a level above, Championship under Enzo.  This should be the same probably.

You are bringing in a record of 3 wins in around your last 25 league games at 3 different clubs in 3 different leagues.  You have a current shocking record with YOUR brand of football, most are telling you NOT to play that style of Football at this level, good managers adapt and play what is in front of them, don't feel that is happening here.

If true, he's had somewhere in the region of £12m pay offs for being a total failure since 2024.

I think many feel sorry for Leicester City, that his experiment, approach, is failing abysmally and he is dragging a once proud, sporadically successful team, down further than the ownership have already taken us.

I'm sorry like many things in life, if not more so, Football is a totally results required business.  You are not getting that.

CUT THE TALK, WIN a NUMBER OF GAMES, that's actually what you are paid to do, and the remit of your role!!!!

He definitely fits into “he’s a nice bloke but”……….. category.

‘It doesn’t bother me’ = it absolutely does bother me and that’s why I’m bringing it up and moaning about it.

Russell, if you’re reading this I do hate you and yes it is personal. I hope you get sent to the ironic punishment division in hell and get forced to watch your own football for the rest of eternity.

Anybody counted number of times he said 'energy' ?

We should have a tifo at each end of the ground, one with 'Energy', one saying 'Intensity' 🤣

Bloke I met previously knew Russell from his time at Swansea, said he was the nicest bloke you will ever meet.

I don't doubt it, but that doesn't make him a good football manager.

Things have been nowhere near toxic enough for years, Leeds, Everton, these sorts of clubs the players would be stuck in the ground afterwards due to the fans outside.

If we'd been more toxic we probably wouldn't still have Rudkin here...

Think the early stages should have been far worse, I don’t think that has any bearing on what I have said about our current situation though. Also not sure any level of any fan protest would’ve got him and Top out, they’re leaving because they can’t physically afford to own the club anymore, not for any noble reason, but I still agree that the last 2 prem years should’ve been far worse protest wise. Both can be true

Such a mug isn’t he

By this logic whenever we win it isn’t because the style of play. So why is he so committed to it?

His press conferences and interviews just confirm not only that his style of football, team selections and tactics are crap, but that he is totally unsuited to managing people. Like he has literally zero qualities. I mean apparently even Peter Taylor was a half decent coach at some levels.

Stop saying energy you twat

The players understanding his 'football concept' was a zinger from the interview they showed on East Mids news tonight.

The style upsets so many people because of the fact you've not been winning with it and it's really clear why?!

Also, "when other managers lose their style of play isn't questioned" is an incredible take. There's absolutely no way he's turning his career round is there.
