Feel free to share the statistics then to prove your point man.

Martin's possession style is crap anyway, and he doesn't have the defenders or a goalkeeper capable of making it not a complete shit show

It’s nigh on impossible to draw the line on where a goals been created by passing the ball out from the keeper and it taking 37 passes to find the net compared to a keeper lumping it, the opposition heading back to them in midfield and a team building from there

But I could give you numerous examples of even the likes of Man City fcking up and conceding directly from Ederson messing around

I quite enjoyed the first half. It felt like things were starting to click a little

I went got a drink after the first half absolutely fuming. They were down to 10, and for the last 6-7 minutes of the half we passed it around slowly between pretty much everyone and did nothing. Some of the slowest football i have ever seen us play. Barnsely looked beaten and and wounded, and we passed it around almost letting them catch their breath. I remember one long ball out to Cullen where he immediately turn his back to goal and it went back to the defense. To top this nonsense off, our fans were cheering every friking sh1tty pass. They were there for the taking, and we played around like it was an after school kickabout.

Said to my son when i got back that 1 isn't enough with this team. We both knew exactly what was coming. And we weren't wrong.

So nice, but i didnt enjoy the first half because we didnt capitalise on our position and pretended we were a top of the league team with the best defense ever seeing out a 1 goal lead.

His job is to get good football results and get us promoted.

Things like the process, the possession stats, the pretty one-touch stuff etc can contribute to that end goal; but he must be judged by the results. The results have been very disappointing.

I suppose the positive is that we don't play again for a while. So let's drink to that and all have a choc ice.

I read somewhere the target is 90 points. He’s got no chance with his rubbish style of play

I can understand that. We should’ve been 3-0 up by HT

Yes it was, we created numerous good chances through good play.

They had 22 percent of the ball and created 5 shots on goal.

We had nearly four times as much of the ball throughout the game and it didn’t even result in double the shots on target.

It infuriates me when i read 'ooooh, its nice stuff' when the reality is we are overplaying and trying to make it look pretty, but it usually achieves bugger all. The 5-6 pass out the back system that saps energy out of all players that just gets us to the edge of our 3rd - i will never clap it because its not needed. We try it 90% of goal kicks (or off side free kicks).

The thing that really irritated me today was how Watson couldn’t get the ball into the box. It felt like he was there to just win corners. But we’re shit at set pieces.

You mean it's just more noticeable when it costs goals and suits your narrative that all sides can't play it effectively

Irrespective it always leads to more chances conceded than created

Just because Finnegan can use long words doesn’t make him correct

it doesn't always lead to that, guardiolas Barca and his man city up to 20/21 weren't reliably getting out shot every single game - but they weren't because they had what would be 80/90m+ players in today's fees in every single position, outdoing every single opponent. To place this way you need an expert coach and a squad of players leagues above anyone they're facing - we've got Russell Martin and Luke Thomas, who's never known a division he can't play poorly in.

Absolutely agree….. I too was frustrated at half time for exactly the same reasons…. And you knew full well, we were going to concede, it was so obvious.

Someone raised the point “it’s hard to play against 10 men”…. Only when it’s into the final third of the game so to speak, and it’s a lot easier to lock down….. with more then an hour of play left, that shouldn’t be happening….. and worse still, they had more chances and looked more dangerous in the second half with ten men………….its just even more evidence that Martin isn’t a coach, he’s an ideologist, because any average coach would have been able to capitalise on that red card….. we should have been 0-3 up at half time, and we weren’t….. we just played with zero urgency, no directness at all and couldn’t grip a team down ten men….. there’s so much wrong with that’s happening, like Thomas. He was abhorrent this afternoon, I lost count of how many times he miss controlled the football, was beaten in behind (by a team with ten men) and lost possession…. He is an atrocious footballer and needs leaving out of the squad all together.

We may be in a mess behind the scenes, but Lord almighty above, we’re not this bad…….. that team on paper wins this league, but we’ve employed a man so blinded by his ego, that we can barely function………

It’s utterly horrible.

This isn’t pep’s system, and it’s lazy to compare it. Martin takes all the components and dials them up to 12.

Feel free on the rare occasion a side scores with 48 passes to decide where at what point it could’ve been done with far less 👌🏼

You say that, but you have to admire his dedication to trying as many as possible out.

Had that dickhead Chris from LTID saying it was the “Best performance of the season “ while we have absolute twats like that saying such obvious dross, what chance have we got, the old fool needs to retire, he thinks he’s just hilarious he just talks shite, the other guy Tom is much much better, at least he talks a lot of common sense.

It is when you continue to setup as if you are playing against 11. Today, against a Barnsley that ate struggling, this was no excuse.

Just get rid.

To be fair to Russell on this part, even if he did miraculously recognise this, he's joined a club who will instead tell him that his way of playing is the only way. It's the entire reason he got the job.

Exactly let’s not forget the incompetent, brain dead ****er at out club who appointed him, if he can’t even sack Rudkin for his failings then this clown has a job for life too.

didn't say it was, but YoTF is talking about playing out from the back generally...

Sorry I thought with the certainty you were posting you had actual statistics

His reaction to a few fans calling his football shit was embarrassing and childish. The head loss made more join in with the boos and jeers. A leader would face up Brussel looked close to tears. Baby
