Brilliant send off from the fans today.

He'll be gone by Monday.

He will not be gone at all. He is here for a while yet. Do you not know our owners haha

Some of the play especially in the 1st half

was excellent but we have to be able to be flexible in our approach and mix it up when needed. RM is too stubborn and rigid in his mindset, tactical flexibility is a strength not a weakness.

He won't be sacked unless a potential buyer encourages it or we're in the relegation zone.

We pretty much can't afford to sack him.

Agreed, even on best case scenario if his termination clause is 12 months money and he is on £20k per week then that is a million quid we need to find and then there will be his staff, so we could be looking at a total of £1.5m- 2m not a sum of money the club will have available. Only way he goes is if the incoming owners want it and fund it or if results are that poor that it is starting to have a detrimental impact on a potential sale

Are you enjoying our playing out from the back? It’s the way to be isn’t it?

You have too much faith in our board, I’m afraid. They’ll sack him without a replacement lined up once promotion / staying up is almost impossible.

Obligatory two games with Kingy in charge as caretaker as well.

Yes it was, we created numerous good chances through good play.

We create good chances because we have better players. The system actually makes it harder. More direct and agressive we will create even more and overplay less.

Pretty sure the argument has always been if you have the players to do so

I quite enjoyed the first half. It felt like things were starting to click a little. Not world beating football, but look at our squad. We easily got the ball into good attacking positions but squandered a couple of chances.

However RM did the usual… poor subs, bad game management, lost the lead through stubbornness/lack of ideas. The first half is then irrelevant if you can’t grind a 90 min performance.

Even if we go on a winning run, we aren’t getting promoted this season. We need new ownership and new management before that happens.

Russell Martin has never proved the players exist to master his system. It’s another level of nonsense and nothing like the possession based systems you see elsewhere.

We're not just on about Martin with the point he's making though

Irrespective it always leads to more chances conceded than created

Just because Finnegan can use long words doesn’t make him correct

He's just all types of wrong; like pouring gravy on a fish or wrapping your feet in bacon as makeshift shoes.

Feel free to share the statistics then to prove your point man.

Martin's possession style is crap anyway, and he doesn't have the defenders or a goalkeeper capable of making it not a complete shit show

No it isn’t, I just recognise that at times his play can be effective, I didn’t want him appointed however I am not blinkered or have that much tunnel vision to not give credit when some of the stuff he coaches works.

First half we opened them up on numerous occasions, and could/should have been out of sight, however 2nd half the goal we gifted them and the couple of other chances they fashioned from us over playing show the flaws of his philosophy and style. There is good and bad with him and both evident today.

I would like to see more tactical flexibility from him, would be good to see a plan B which we can switch to at times to capitalise in certain situations and circumstances like today.

Will he survive here I don’t think he will because of his stubbornness to stick to plan A but I am big enough to say at times when plan A is executed it can be effective and very good to watch. Our goal today was a superb move .

His job is to get good football results and get us promoted.

Things like the process, the possession stats, the pretty one-touch stuff etc can contribute to that end goal; but he must be judged by the results. The results have been very disappointing.

I suppose the positive is that we don't play again for a while. So let's drink to that and all have a choc ice.

Doing words. I was trying to do words but I had to re-do them because I didn't word well. Word.
