Great goal from Hugo De Lisle 👏🏻

Looks very Maddison esque. Would be good to see him make the bench in the Jersey Mike’s at some point

Had the same thought when seeing him twost and turn. He was on the bench vs Stevenage I think so hopefully same again vs Walsall but this time gets some decent minutes.

Plenty of our first team players don't look like they can strike a ball as hard as De Lisle did for that goal.

Whenever I see Carr play, he always looks like he's got jet fuel in his boots. Surely he has to be an option late on in first team games?

We’ve got a ban on having any pace in the first team sadly

100% agree, and he never looks out of place. Watching Burns come on looking like he is running through treacle and Carr is miles away from the bench.

Yeah I get Maddison vibes from that goal. The way he twists with his weight over the ball. Very neat and tidy.

he was on the bench at Shrewsbury but didn't get on, problem is he will likely be away with England youth for the final game

I think I remember reading that his favourite player growing up was Madders
And this tiktok account has made the comparison before! (watch on mute because the music is obnoxious 😂

Why is Aluko not in the matchday squad at the moment - he’d be perfect as a replacement for O’Hora

Not sure about that. Would much rather have Kangasniemi replace O'Hora.

Aluko hasn't exactly lit the world alight – and was particularly dreadful when he got to start against Peterborough. Deservedly hooked at half-time.

presumably Kangasniemi would have replace Okoli for most people already, personally I think Aluko is a CB he just needs to add some muscle

Just a reminder that u18's are playing away at Anstey Nomads tonight in the Youth FA Cup

7-30 ko

Wouldn't be the greatest shock if they got turned over would it ?

Would be a bigger shock than the first team being turned over by nomads I would say, I don’t think the poison has quite made it down to the u18 lads yet.

I actually don’t think he’s a defender at all. I think all his strengths are going forwards. I’m not sure exactly where he would fit but I do want to see him in this new system as a wb
