Unfortunately we can't continue letting players leave for free at the end of their contracts.

I can't see him signing a new one so he's probably going to be sold.

I would’ve thought he could be persuaded to sign

Would you?

Yeah I think he could be.

And if I was Nelson and McCarron offered me more money on extended terms with a release clause I’d take it.

Na why would he? He could get an equally good deal elsewhere. And a fresh start. He’s hardly been welcomed into the side and supported by our fan base has he? So that likely removes any notion he might feel an attachment and desire to stay.

I welcomed him into the side, just didn’t realise how piss poor he would be, zero positional sense which we can’t afford next year..Sell

You seem to have taken that a bit personally? People were on his back before he even got settled. Self fulfilling prophecy and all that…

He was dreadful unfortunately, like everyone, had high hopes, but he would be totally ridiculed if he wasn't an academy player as he was that bad.

Shame but move him on

You don’t think that sometimes, there may be more context/nuance that x player is fantastic or completely shit based on a small sample size in a specific circumstance?

He was at least better than Faes and Okoli who we spent £10+mil on.

Not a high bar but I would at least like him to get the same chances to prove himself with us as Faes did.

Always the same. Younger players seem to get a handful of games and get written off if they haven’t been great whereas the shite we spent millions on seem to get given way more time.

Remember the Vestergaard ‘redemption arc’? No. He’s always been shit.

Boggles my mind this. I remember having to listen to guys around me saying how Vestergaard was a player who made everyone around him better when he was injured. When Nelson was injured he remained shit. Claridge is almost a cliche of this type of fan, where if the academy player isn't ripping up the league then they are awful, yet players we have paid 15mil for 'just need a run of games'.

Go and play for a mid table Serie A side whilst living in Turin or stay at Leicester playing in league one… hmm hard decision…

A decent season for them and he can get himself a Prem move
