Yes! Go Norge!! Our Scandi friends. :scarf:

What a save at the end and of course Haaland scores with a scruffed shot.

Well, finally a european nation through to the last 16 and another to come after France-Sweden.

Even as a Dane I find myself rooting for Norway. Some might find the rowing gimmick super cringe but I think it’s great. Fancy them against Brazil!

Sitting here with the Norwegian in-laws. The nerves were very palpable. The optimism nonexistant lol happy they go through, but feel sorry for the Ivorians who looked a tidy side.

It's a blatant ripoff of Iceland at the Euros/Worlds. But it's a bit of harmless fun, so let them enjoy it. It's been a while generation since they were last at the worlds, so I don't blame their enthusiasm.

Feel like Norway is experiencing what us Danes experienced in 1986, when we suddenly had a team competing with the best in the world. And I am just happy for them.

Can Sweden shock the French and make it a complete Scandi day? i am not really a believer.

100% a ripoff but still a good thing they’ve got going on. In general they’ve done a hell of a job branding themselves to the world as proper vikings with the pre-tournament photo and all this rowing stuff. All the while we’ve got a horrendous manager with balenciaga trainers

No, but they watched on with large smiles. All super cringe, but good fun.

I know '86 won neutral hearts and not many will rank them lower than the very best Danish team ever.

But I would dare say the '98 team were the closest to a complete team that could genuinely compete with the best. We ran Brazil very close that day.

Sweden's goalkeeping selection seems odd. Surely Johansson is way better than that bloke from Derby. With it being Potter I assume it's to do with playing out from the back. Just play your best keeper man.
