Racking my brains to try and remember  the last England game which made me feel like that. Argentina in 98 maybe?

For me, only two or three ever.

England 4-1 Netherlands - Euro 96

Germany 1-5 England - WCQ

England 2-2 Argentina - France 98

This is up with the best ever England games I’ve watched.

Where are the Scot’s saying we would lose 3/4 nil.. where are they, I want to hear from these footballing geniuses. Giving Cape Verde have achieved more than they ever have, where are they

they will cheer for Norway! Bellends!

Most of the Scots on the Rangers forum support Scotland and England and it's the the opposite with Celtic fans who seem to hate both

Critics and other countries will probably say Mexico aren't a strong team and we will need to be better to beat the best, and they are probably right but that win was about character, fight and pride for the shirt.

Mexico were average and had very little variety to their play.

Did it get a bit nervy at the end? Good to see Pickford make some important saves

It was nervy for most of the game.

Looking back on the game I really cannot see what the fuss was all about regarding them during the build up to it all. Their two goals were both from set pieces and although Pickford had to make some good saves, it was from the same type of chance.

I didn’t want to say pre match for fear of hubris but the building up of a Mexico team whose best player is in the Championship was a bit odd.

Gutted I didn’t stay up to watch it now but glad my 17 year old lad did. He hasn’t slept but he’s absolutely buzzing this morning.

He’s the same age I was for Italia 90 and I had the time of my life back then.

Oh to be young again.

What a game!

Thought it was very brave (maybe naive) to sit back from the 75th minute and invite pressure and endless crosses… but fair play to TT, it worked a treat.

Every one of those England players can be proud of themselves today/tonight/whatever lol.

How good is Bellingham when he turns it on. Despite what peoples opinions of him may be, he wants it and never stops running! He has a little bit if Zidane about his game.

Pickford brilliant. Kane putting the penalty away under huge pressure, class.

I've never been a fan of a non Englishman being our manager but I can't help being impressed by Tuchel.

He speaks really well and the players seem to love him.

Possibly my favourite German apart from Einstein.

Personally thought they were great and really challenged us

Game was well refereed too I think despite tuchel’s moaning

The Mexico penalty was the one decision I think that was decidedly uncertain.

My god what a night, couldnt write it. Dramatic as a hollywood movie. Honestly havent felt so proud over England mens win in a long time. I said before kick off. If England win itll be one of the greatest wins and it certainly is.

Bring on the Norway!

Must admit, England were superb…. Rose to the occasion and managed to block out the  bull shit….. World Cup games can often be chaotic, but England controlled the chaos brilliantly.

I thought the exact same thing. The same with this amazing record at the Azteca. Half the teams they’d played there are absolute pony. Don’t get me wrong, they aren’t a bad side but it’s a side you’d expect England to beat 9/10 regardless of venue.

I don’t think it was a penalty at all, Kane was looking at the ball, and trying to win it when it was 50/50, it’s not like he’s tried to tackle the lad and got it wrong.

never believed in all they hype about them not losing in 34 years or whatever.

Even LCFC would be unbeaten playing Honduras and Canada every few months.

At the end of the day their main striker is a Wolves reject ffs!!!lol

I'd like to think now we're all a bit calmer majority will see it was a penalty. Modric did the same to us in the first game. Kane kicks the players leg and fouls him, doesn't touch the ball.

How clear and obvious it is is another matter. But VAR will intervene with anything these days. Thankfully it wasn't too costly!

England seem to play better against higher ranked teams.

Croatia... epic

Ghana... borefest

Panama.... meh

Congo... lucky

Mexico.... historic

Tuchel subs seem to be spot on, always make a difference.

Waited till this morning. Avoided socials and news. Sent a few messages telling people I was watching the replay.

30 mins in the ex messages me - "did you stay up and watch it? What an amazing result"

Yay for us but next time I'm not bothering to avoid it :glare:

I certainly think it wasn't a clear and obvious error to correct, which is what VAR is supposed to be about.
