Can you own more than one team in England? Just if there is anything in these Teddy Bowlhead rumours?

I hope Cam Skattebo and Jaxon Dart co-own us, and run us like they play their football.

Probably not.  Is this why he’s selling his shares in Chelsea.

Interesting……. Think will be an American owner who buys us. Above said I think they’re more likely to pay the asking price over a Middle Eastern consortium who are notoriously difficult to negotiate with.

A friend who works in the city told me that Citi had approached a client of his, who is linked to Boehly, just over a week ago with regards to a minority stake in a consortium. His client messaged today to say it's not of interest to him due to a lack of corporate opportunity but Todd Boehly is very much still interested.

Take it with a pinch of salt, I'm not sure how much I personally believe it and I'm certainly not claiming to be ITK but thought it was interesting as others have mentioned Boehly.

Is it feasible that king power had ‘done a deal’ with a mid east group but that events in the region have meant that investments were reviewed and ours got canned

hence the need to push a sale elsewhere because KP had perhaps banked on 150/200m incoming later this year.

One of the hundreds, if not thousands of crimes on the Kp charge sheet,.is the failure to market ourselves to the US. No friendlies, no strategic signings, the only thing I can recall is filbert fox being one of the PL mascots at those NBC fanzone gimmicks (and that was the PL organising it, god forbid Whelan or commercial team doing something proactive)

Any yank through business or holiday these last few years I've spoken to....to a man, they know us. They all love the story. There will be yank investment that sees an opportunity as our brand is so much bigger than half our support give ourselves credit for; preferring the 'lickle ol' league one lesta' narrative

Closest plausible suggestion (not a rumour, just an idea) I've herard, would be a Kelce/Swift buy out - I think we're global enough for it to not be completely implausible.

USA sporting franchises make money. The problem is translating it to English football, which they seem to struggle to do, but I think we would be a fantastic opportunity for any aspiring US owner….. there’s a blueprint to do what they want…. The opportunity to grow the “franchise” is there, and it’s much easier to plow money into the club at this level. What we need is someone to take the opportunity to grow the club, deliver what KP wanted to but evidently couldn’t. Build the indoor arena “bring over a bit of B’ball” build the hotels and potential avenues for growth, off the field…..

Just need someone to see that vision. And the US market is likely because as I said, they love a Cinderella story, and I think they will still buy into that with us and feel it’s worth a risk. Wrexham’s story is probably going to assist us a bit too.

I would hope that the Regulator would have the power to Veto any name change.

Don't think they would, but FA would.

There’s other possibly connected dealings over here with Boehly and Chelsea co-owner Mark Walter, who also owns the Lakers and the Dodgers, two of the biggest brands in all of sports. Walter is selling the Lakers less than 12 months after purchasing the franchise, as he’s under federal investigation. Boehly isn’t under investigation that I’ve read, but it’s worth monitoring that story.

Can’t tell me it’s a coincidence that these two articles came out the same day:

Amid federal scrutiny, Dodgers owner Mark Walter’s empire shifting billions

Walter and Boehly are selling up at Chelsea. Why now, for how much and what does it mean for the club?

Points to familiar sounding cash flow issues- Report: Mark Walter tried to take out a loan against his Lakers stake

True, but Boehly will probably double his money on the Chelsea investment in a fairly short amount of time so football clubs can "make money" in terms of increased value rather than day to do profitability. Not many businesses give those kinds of returns though. Let's face it, the price KP want for the club is too high, but if someone like Boehly could buy the club at a reasonable price, finish the stadium expansion (the Chelsea stadium issue is apparently one of the reasons he wants to part ways there) invest in the playing squad to get us back in to the prem and expand our footprint/brand in the US which is a huge untapped market for us the club would be worth many times more than what it would cost him. With the right person on board we are a huge opportunity with a massive catchment area. We just need an entertaining side that is winning and even the proposed expanded stadium would be sold out in the prem, especially if we were challenging for Europe. He could do all of that with us. You are right, we just need someone with that vision and we need an outright billionaire not a consortium.

Ridiculously ironic or a massive faux pas that you've got your user name horribly wrong?

I do not believe for a second that Boely is interested in looking at us.

But if he was....I would jump at that chance. There's no way he comes in to fail.

But, as I say, I would be absolutely gobsmacked if he even had us on a super long range radar.

Are people aware that on the 28th of July a Spanish news article specifically named Turki as the Middle East party that was interested in buying Leicester City?

Le coz de almeria was who ran the story and interestingly, I believe Almeria is the club Turki used to own?

this is the arrival and if I am not mistaken it also suggests some sort of link up between Almeria and Leicester could  be possible as  Turki is still friends with the Almeria chairman?

Yes, I’d seen it mentioned previously that he might be interested in us. Especially after the collapse of buying Derby.

It’s an interesting one, however I think he’d just be a name on the front to head it up.

Exciting mate, although last time I recall you doing this was when we announced Steve Cooper as Manager, so whilst you definitely get the inside track on stuff, it’s not always good news 😂😂

No disrespect to @Wymsey I didn’t know that he was ITK?
