I am really not doubting @Pliskin and praying to god it’s true, but why would it be us?  Especially for the price, then again I guess money is no object.

Is there any inkling of any clues whatsoever apart from it being a Middle East firm.

At least it isn’t that Turki bloke!

It’s just an educated guess, because both the Royal Group and the IHC are in the market for a football club…. But given our obsession with Man City it’s not a pipe dream, and why? We’re a ready made PL club, we’ve a state of the art training facility, recent success an academy that appears to be functioning…..

There’s still a hell of a lot to like about us….. and turning us around is a good story “we saved Leicester city”……………..

We're in League One but we have the facilities of a European club - a state of the art training ground already producing youngsters with major potential and generating sales at a profit, and a mid sized stadium with a huge footprint and planning permission for major expansions for us to grow into.

We're a one club city with a huge catchment area for fans and youngsters, global name recognition and so far this century, one of the most successful clubs in English football.

And we're significantly cheaper than we would have been just 5 years ago.

Things are shite now and that's down to the owner's idiot son and the Premier League, but a new owner has pretty much everything already set up for major growth. The right new owner could take us back to where we belong and keep us there permanently.

He is part of the ruling family in Abu Dhabi, brother of UAE president Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Tahnoun has been involved in numerous controversies, from violating EU sanctions against Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, spying on political opponents in Project Raven, deals to re-sell Russia's Sputnik vaccine to poor countries at substantial mark-ups, orchestrating the Qatargate bribery case, and a smear campaign against Qatar and the Muslim Brotherhood, as revealed 2023 in the Abu Dhabi Secrets.

The longer this goes on the more I see it being either no one or venture capital asset strippers at the 11th hour of administration

Me too, but that’s the pessimism in me.

However, it has only been a week since news broke of the interested party.

“In 2025, Tahnoon's businesses bought 49% share in the Donald Trump family's cryptocurrency firm World Liberty Financial (WLF) for half a billion dollars and bought $2 billion worth of USD1 stablecoins from WLF.[3]Shortly thereafter, the Trump administration ignored national security concerns and committed to provide 500,000 of the most advanced AI chips a year to the UAE.“

he could buy us multiple times over with that crypto bribe he paid to Trump alone

You don’t become a billionaire by being squeaky clean…… his brothers with the Man City “owner” if you want to call him that. There isn’t a single billionaire on the planet who’s not riddled with controversies.
