I was thinking the same, really needs to get goals and assists to keep his spot, needs end product.

I hoping Mavididi leaves and Alves, Watson and Burns share LW and RW.

He is currently playing in his weakest position at RW.

I worried for him and Braybrooke.

I can't see him not playing Cullen and Chaplin when they are both fit.

But its a long season and people will miss games, I can't see Burns or Alves managing 46 games with their bodies.

But the 7 man bench makes it harder, for me both need to cement their place in the 18 man squad.

I think we need to play who is in form and appropriate for each match, with the target of winning the game in front and accumulating the most points possible. The competition is good, it's such a negative mindset to worry about who will get what game time, we need a competitive squad with players knowing if they don't perform they will be replaced pretty quickly by someone else.

I think this is the concern though isn't it, we've had numerous managers keep players on the fringes whilst continuing to pick players who were shit or not arsed

Let's give him 10 games and see, nothing to judge on yet.

100% agree.

But we have been pretty poor previously playing senior pro repeatedly even after poor performances and total lack of effort.

I'm not judging him, simply replying to you saying competition for places is good when based on previous managers that's not always true is it

Looks like a Vardy-esque player.

Hopefully a few Red Bulls are in supply before and during games...

Shame they aren't in to buy us :P  (Note: I don't care for the drink, but their sporting ventures seem to be legit...)

Another who has said he spoke to the manager two or three weeks ago.

Would appear a lot of prep has gone into this year signings.

From the sounds of it, Martin seems to take a genuine interest in the new players to allow them to settle in.

From and article in the Bosnian Sports Press (translated into English) - There were Teams from Switzerland, Belguim and Sweden also chasing him and he chose us despite being in League 1.  So let's get behind him:scarf:

Quote:

Leicester's interest didn't appear overnight. The club had been following Bristrić for some time, and a more concrete story only started a few weeks ago.

"Leicester's interest had existed for a long time, they had been asking about me since the end of last season, but until then it hadn't been concrete. It wasn't until three weeks ago that they got in touch, asking who they needed to call from Olimpija to complete the transfer, then everything went smoothly. They were really excited ," Bristrić tells us.

The head scout, he says, also told him the coach's reaction after watching him.

"He admitted to me that the coach, when he looked at me, said: "Wow, we need him, he can help us". I talked to him too. When you feel that they simply want you, it's easy to decide. And it is not difficult to say "yes" to a club like Leicester. It is known what he represents in the English framework."

"A fantasy for every professional"

The first meeting with the new club also brought something that is difficult to describe in words. Bristrić did not hide his enthusiasm for the conditions he found at King Power.

“What are the conditions? Fantasy, for every man and professional. I think Leicester has one of the five best camps in the world.”

Un-quote

I missed the second half - how was he when he came on?

Looked a unit and tried to make a few runs that weren't found by our tiring team.

Didn't really see him getting the ball in the box or have any chance to shine really and didn't see him in a foot race with anyone. If anything I'd say he looked slightly "thick set" but that might be his physique.

Would have been interesting to see what he would have done with the chances BDCR had.

I thought he wasn't fully ready or something? We go 1-0 up immediately after they look threatening there's a good 10-15 minutes between when we score and they do. I can't make anything of the 10 minutes I seen he should have came on for at least 20 minutes. Watson looked like he had a bit of life and I'd have like to have seen another 10 minutes of those two on the pitch at the same time.

Can’t comment on him yet got 10 mins if that! Big lad think he’s gunna get a few yellows I reckon can tell he’s got the dog in him. Martin should have brought him on at 55/60 mins. Still need another striker once mavididi has been sold big time

As others have said not a cameo you could see much of but he at least showed the basic instincts of a line leading striker so for the love of Christ just play him as that's what we need

I wanted him to come on all the 2nd Half...

...but then he didn't get a touch and appeared small and weak.

Hope I am wrong - fair play he only got 10 minutes.
