????? It's the opposite as I saw it. Alves, Braybrooke, JJ were most promising. It was Skipp Reid and Thomas who were shite as usual

Did you see the rest of the team by any chance? The kids were the brightest part!

I honestly think we’re down for quite some time.

They will get relegated. I heard in pre commentary that they lost their 2 forwards. Thats why they couldnt finish any of the clear cut chances, that we helped them produce by the way.

If we played Luton today we get beat easily.

Basically most of their goals came from two players who weren’t in the squad today.

Playing us will be everyone’s cup final and we have zero bottle to cope with it

BDR to never start up top again. Luke Thomas looks worse every time I see him .We looked awful playing out from the keeper, creating all their chances . Luckily we got a point. ( a belt a shady looking offside goal)

Our football created more chances for them; then it did for us… and that says it all.

Occasionally we will make the risky pass and get away with it just in the nick of time, only to pass it all the way back to Okoli again for groundhog day as we didnt get anywhere. Pointless.

Not a great performance at all.

Alves was decent but faded in the second half. Braybrooke was, I thought, largely anonymous in the first half but a lot better in the second though he really needs more time on the ball than I think he's likely to get.

The gamechanger for me were the subs. Theirs came on and made a difference, ours came on and we seemed to lose shape and purpose.

I think we should be concerned about the manner of play. We simply don't have the players with he skill level to play this short passing game. We could easily have conceded 3 or 4 today.

Our goal was a good one. The pace at which we moved the ball was good and the link up play excellent and the finish top draw.

But we move the ball too slowly. I wasn't impressed by Burns but to be fair we didn't pass the ball quickly enough to him.  generally we were too ponderous and delayed passing until it was too late.

We desperately need a ball winning midfielder and generally more physicality in the side. Every side we play seems to be stronger and physically better than us.

The keeper looks like a bomb scare.

Reid needs to go he's useless. The whole defence looks as if it could concede at any moment.  Early days but the experienced players brought in don't look to have added much but let's see over the next few games.

Right now I'd guess this team finishes anything between 12th and 18th. We need a few out and a few in which could make a difference.

The fact we barely did anything positive after we scored is also a concern.

I ****ing hate Hamza and Thomas with a passion now. They're ****ing disgraceful frankly. If managers can't see this then I'm gonna be against them too quite quickly.

Souttar and Okoli are both shit, they don't suit our style of play. Souttar for their goal was a joke frankly. Just **** him off for the 8m

As poor as a performance it was, a team with any ounce of desire or professionalism sees that out and wins the game.

Yes agree and that's the most disappointing - too many slack not committed passes and the same level of commitment from the player receiving the ball - a total shambles. As a long term fan one thing I expect is to see is a player committed and I don't care what Martin says that style and these players (with a couple of exceptions) do not give me that.

“With the ball, not good enough” “…pleased with the point” - RM

he didn’t really defend the team performance that much, pleasantly surprised with that.

Poor performance and our recruitment hasn't seemed to have improved. Burns, Cullen completely anonymous.  The GK was shit too.

We still cannot rely on the senior players. All the positivity from preseason came from the youth. The best play today came from our youth (not those on loan).

Alves, Braybrooke and Joseph the best players on the pitch. Alves's energy and ability to beat him man was standout. Each of them showed they had the physicality to deal with the demands of this level.

So its Souttar, Okoli and Thomas, who are all horrible, all for different reasons. Skipp woeful. The interplay between those 4 was like watching school kids. Bobby completely ineffective. I thought Burns and Cullen were average, and offered far less than our own youth players. Would have sooner seen Carr, Hutchinson, Ochere, Evans etc our there.

As for the Keeper - where the heck have we dragged that one from?

End of last season it was clear we needed a gk that is suited to our style of play, an overhaul in defence and a striker. Beginning of this season it is clear we need a gk that is suited to our style of play, an overhaul in defence and a striker. Nothing will change until we get change at the top.

The new academy kids did well, all three of them.

All the new signings look questionable at best. Mccarthy possibly the worse of the bunch.

Of the loan signings thought Howell had a decent cameo.

Why was Choudrey playing further up the pitch, he has one decent attribute a tough tackle.

Think we as a supporter base have under estimated how tough this league is going to be.   Our defense has lost all it best ball playing centre backs and thats the style that we seem to want to play.

I missed nearly all the game, I was driving, following it via occaional reports on the radio (featuring Christian Fuchs, whose analysis seemed insightful and who I would have gone with instead of Russell Martin).

I arrived in time to be able to watch the last 5 or 6 minutes.

It was incredible the lack of effort, the lack of oomph.   The lack of desire.

Like it was a preseason kickabout.

Winning teams push and press til the end.

Winning managers bark at their charges to run, harry, recover and if all else fails, lump it fowards.

Didn't see any of that.

Thought Notts were the better team in terms of chances and game plan.

You clearly looked like you had better individual players, but lacking a cohesive team, decent striker and players still getting used to Russball.

Still think this league is so bad you’d have to be utterly diabolical to not get promoted, and the individual quality (comparative to this level) will be enough to bail you out and get you up.

Reid was shit, but at least he's in positions to highlight how shit he is. Cullen didn't even do that. Not writing him off, maybe it just a bad day for Jim but in that evidence he's exactly what we didn't need.
