Aleksz Posted 24 August Posted 24 August I was looking at his name and trying to find the pun about signing no one or being relegated 1

Might be a good signing though. Martin my want those things but the club might have other ideas. We've got three experienced centre backs on the books plus the injured Nelson. Signing a young talent who should be able to play this level, play the preferred brand of football and increase in value may be to good to turn down. The expectation may have been he'd go to a bigger league but it's not panned out so we are trying to get a deal done. Like it as a potential deal. Still time to bring Dawson out of retirement when we offload a centre back or two.
Aleksz Posted 24 August Posted 24 August In all seriousness based on the fact he’s 19, wanted by some decent teams, 6’6 and can actually pass a ball… surely we have no chance
lcfc sheff Posted 24 August Posted 24 August OMG he looks like a mad man, please be true, looks like the finish Fofana 1
Ricey Posted 24 August Posted 24 August This would rank as the 6th highest League One incoming transfer of all time. Cullen is also probably in the top 20 assuming the rumours on his fee are true. He's the kind of profile that we should be looking at, but don't tell me that we are cutting our cloth accordingly for League One. It's promotion or bust. 3

Fosse93 Posted 24 August Posted 24 August Links to players like this make me feel so much more optimistic, despite what’s happening on the field. Just want signings like this to be the blueprint of our recruitment. 4

Highest incoming fee for their league as well. We are definitely overpaying on this one, but hopefully it’s well worth it.
Popular Post Finnegan Posted 24 August Popular Post Posted 24 August I'll take a 6'6, highly promising, somewhat obscure 19 year old touted as the next Sami Hyppia over another manager panicking and calling for "more experience" because his job is on the line after two games because he can't coach a defence. Especially when he's got about 70 senior international caps worth of centre back in the squad already. 23
lcfc sheff Posted 24 August Posted 24 August I do question the photo we can see on twitter supposedly after a Hannover game… weird to go to a game if he isn’t joining?
Silebyfox_89 Posted 24 August Posted 24 August He looks like a Scandinavian Channing Tatum. Gerrrrrrriiiiimmmmm in!!!! 1

It’s one link / rumour, but the fact we’re actually going against what the manager said is actually refreshing. For too long we’ve had the tail wagging the dog in the transfer market. About time that changed. (and yes I’m not oblivious to the McCarthy, Cullen signings, just hope this is a step in the right direction). 3

FoxinNotts Posted 24 August Posted 24 August 1 hour ago, Björn said: Finnish FC Inter supporter here, Kangasniemi is one of the most promising (if not the most promising) center back to come from Finland after Hyypiä. He has been a revelation this season and the consensus is that he already should be in Finlands next national team squad. As a player he's truly one of kind in Finland, being agressive, tall, suprisingly fast and skillfull. He's also a good passer of the ball (short and long) and an amazing dribbler for a center back. Still makes the occasional mistake which is natural for a center back of his age, but I'm certain he will learn from them. He was also exceptional when we knocked out Basaksehir from the UEFA Conference league. I think he lost two duels in the whole pair against Davie Selke and the likes. He had interest from all over europe, including the top-5 leagues, Denmark etc. The reported price is 2,5mil €, with certainly some sort of sell-on clause. And YLE is the finnish national broadcaster, so they wouldn't report about it if there wasn't atleast some truth to the story. Thanks. I'm sold. Hope it's true!
