Hate to be super pedantic but 99% sure Tomi wasn’t on CM01/02 and was actually a CM4 legend.

He wouldn't have been on 01/02 as he was about 15 years old at the time. CM4 sounds more realistic.

I didnt mean his wages i meant for his growth and development, yes we have seagrave but a world class training groud without world class growth and development plan coaches is just a fancy training groud with extra bits and bob otherwise all our youth players would have been given a chance and defo be playing first team football in league 1

Currently playing CM99/00. My star striker Sigporrson has just gone to Spurs for £1.3m. I'd gone on holiday for the summer and my inept staff had offered him a new contract with a £1.3m release clause!

 

He's literally a 30 goal a season minimum goal return in the Premier League striker who in a few years would be worth £250m in today's money. 

 

It's like the developers knew back then the club have a knack of stitching themselves up!

Came on away at Wolves last game of the season, played alongside Tricky Trevor Benjamin.

Also Tim Flowers last game us, I remember being pissed off that Benjamin took the penalty we got in the last minute and not either Flowers or Petrescu

For context, you're playing a game that was released 7,5 years before Ilari Kangasniemi was born

There's no game in the history that brings me back like CM99/00.

 

In my opinion the finest game ever to be made and I could devote days and days to playing it non stop even now. 

 

After that CM and ultimately FM  slowly got more complicated to the point I wouldn't bother with the latest now. 

 

I know you can get the updated current DBs for CM99/00 but I have  never bothered as the regens wipe everyone out after 15 years or so anyway. 

 

It's such a good game because by the time you make it to 2026 you live in this regen world where anyone of the new wonder kids you could imagine as a similar real player of today. 

 

Only problem I have is that the game can get a bit glitchy the longer you get into the future. In lock down I got so far in the future I came across this bug that none of my international players returned from international duty so I couldn't continue,😂

I remember this guy very well. Could pick him up for about £25 grand? I wonder what his career was actually like?
