Watson is gash. Burns isn't much better. Chaplin a crock. Bristric looks out of his depth.

Bristric is strong, getting stuck in, not getting bullied and doing ok. It will come. He doesn’t look out of place.

Watson is young. Getting into good position but lacking final product. Think it will come, but he should be rotation for Alves.

Burns and Chaplin 2 worst player on the pitch. Again, it’s the senior players.

Understand today was frustrating but people booing and giving willy puller signs to Martin and the players are a strange specimen. Misdirected anger. The poorly attended protests were the time to direct anger to the people that got us into this mess. Not a game where bar from poor finishing from 2 ‘Senior pros’ a very positive performance.

You've got to be trolling, surely?

You're likening the worst results of a 46 game season against the opening 3 games of a season.

We were talking about results against promoted teams.

Sensible post. I was shocked at the venom and rage from a number of fans at full time. I quite enjoyed the performance but was obviously incredibly frustrated with the scoreline. The situation we’re in is all on Aiyatwatt. Any venom and rage should be directed at him and Rudkin.

Hit the post twice, Reid missed..  but it’s mk dons, we don’t celebrate draws… Martin has a reputation of making teams play possession football with no end product

I'm not celebrating a draw against MK Dons either, far from it. I just responded directly to someone stating that it was Russell Martin's fault that we didn't win the game today and another one stating that we didn't create any chances. We created enough and should have won easily based on that.

An improvement on last week shambles, good performances from the young lads, but unless we get up to speed with the tactics soon, I can’t see how this ends successfully at the moment. Desperately need another striker to give Bristic time to settle - Reid and Cullen certainly don’t fit that role in any form

We are nearly, nearly there. Braybrooke is special. Page is way, way more comfortable than skipp at the base of midfield. Thomas had a really good game, souttar is far more comfortable on the right side of defense. Mcfarlane solid. Alves and Howell have to start next game.

The winger position is usually shared now so whoever starts and finishes isn’t necessarily the same every match. The key thing  is they all impact the game. I thought Watson was alright today.  I personally prefer Alves at the moment but I can see how they switch due to a difference in styles. Out of the 4 wingers Burns needs to step it up the most. We get brief flashes from him but there’s a reluctance to take on his man, a lot of mistakes and he doesn’t look fully fit.

All those happy with that, you are of course entitled to your opinion. But I just hope your expectations for the season are realistic, which would be consolation in this league, therefore halting the slide.

If that is your expectation, rather than a serious challenge at promotion, then it’s absolutely fine to be happy with that performance.

You can separate a performance from a result. 76% possession. 2 big chances missed. 24 shots, quick to win the ball back when we lost it and almost complete control of a football game. As I said incredibly frustrated with the result and appalled by the situation the club is in but it was by no means a poor performance

Reassuring to see some more balanced posts on here…

I only caught the second half but really liked most of what I saw….

2 points from 9 against low quality opposition is deeply frustrating, but I’m seeing progress and some real talent on the pitch…. Just need to turn the good stuff into goals / results

My thoughts;

  • Thought we played well but seriously lack quality in the box.
  • Bristric doesn't put himself about nearly enough. Looks short of confidence.
  • Decordova-Reid seriously cannot play for us.
  • Genuinely thought Thomas had a very good game at centre half.
  • Huge difference in quality from Burns and Watkins to Alves and Howell.
  • Braybrooke and Page dominated the tempo of the game.
  • Stolarcyzk looks like a deer in the headlights with the ball at his feet.
  • The standard in this league is abysmal.
  • Martin was slow on subs.
  • Souttar can go.
  • McFarlane looked pretty average.
  • Chaplin started well. Hopefully his injury isn't too bad. My stream died when it happened.

RM has a style but you need the right players in every position to win games. They've got to have the technical ability and want to enjoy playing it to be successful.  You still need a plan B and that's where RM will always fail.

Playing his style in league one is not going to do us any favours. I also recognize we might need some adjustment time but deep down I don't think he is the right guy for us. I will support him nonetheless and hope to be proven wrong.  It’s painful stuff so far.

Top and rudkin can't fook off quick enough.

Oh and those singing for Souttar to **** off at a corner and Martin out after 3 games are embarrassing and don't help. If it was a honking display like Burton ok but the players gave everything today and needed driving on not dogs abuse. 6000 at an away game in league one is pretty impressive though and in general the support was decent.

Lots of very good stuff - lots of average stuff - but absolutely no where near as bad as the reaction on here - I think Russel’s post match interview was pretty close to accurate again - the negativity is truly astounding- we will be absolutely fine

Bristric not putting himself about is wrong. If you watch him he makes countless runs and no one plays him in. All the play goes through the wingers and it's not his fault we aren't direct. Agree with the rest.

We are a broken fan base following a broken club. I wasn't there today but I'm really not surprised. It will be a long road back which starts when the new owners arrive.

No you are talking about newly promoted teams.

He's clearly listed the first three games of the season, and is making a point about the first three games of the season. Including Burton, so I'd take your own advice.

MK Dons looked like a pub team. The fact we didnt win is that unbelievable. Left it too late to bring Alves on. He is the difference maker. Page and Sammy are top class. Much better football but we won't score enough goals with our forward line.

Martin thinks they’ll be up there!

What does he base thst on they were shite
