How did he end up staying so long when he started only 62 of those 166 appearances? Should have been moved on years ago for his own sake as well as ours. Has never been more than a back up player in all his time for us.

All true, although of course some people obviously do have to be back-up players, you can't only have a squad of first choice starters.

As we revealed earlier this week, United negotiated an essentially free-transfer permanent deal for Choudhury with City keen to get his wages off the books after they were relegated to League One.

Players just won’t sign for one year. They won’t sign for less money. You have to overpay them forever otherwise they just won’t join.

Probably got a decent signing on fee and an option for another year if Sheff utd get into the play offs / promotion .... sadly he won't stop long in the memory as a city player

I wont blame Hamza for taking any contract with us over the years. We all would have done the same.  Obviously, not the best person to have your kids look up to given his off field issues etc. I hope he has learned and will never been in stupid situations again.

I don't dislike him like others do. That said, he is not someone that I will be upset over now they have moved on. I wish him well as a footballer.

Lets move on and hope the knobs in charge stop wasting money on silly contracts and start signing better options.

Bye bye deshi fans!

Just made my holiday very happy finally rid of the most toxic individual in the club.

If you REALLY think one of the class of 2021 was or is more toxic to City than Jon Rudkin, then (to paraphrase NP) you must be an ostrich!

See the Restore Britain element of the Foxes fanbase have wasted no time toasting his departure.

They may dream of the day when we again field an all-white starting 11 - with stands and a directors box to match.

But that fantasy is as likely to happen as Rupert Lowe being given the keys to 10 Downing Street.

Shame? Guy has stolen a living, and repeatedly broken the law. If we'd given half the academy players the chances he'd got, majority of them would have done more with it.

Great to get him out of this club

Yeah it’s a shame. Of course it’s a shame.
You want any local lad from the academy to do well.
It hasn’t with him. It’s a shame he is what he is and it didn’t work out.

Thing is, Hamza is a bit of a bellend, not really a very good player, and I'd vouch the vast majority of actual matchgoing fans will be delighted to see the back of his annoying internet fanbase. I'm delighted he's gone for those reasons, oh and the fact he was on anywhere from £10k to £30k a week in League One, depending on which source is correct.

Mercifully I've weaned myself off the misery pits that are Facebook and Xitter, I'm guessing that's where the racism is happening?

We do have some absolute wrong'uns in our fanbase, but let's not pretend that there aren't plenty of reasons to be glad about this departure even for those of us whose knuckles aren't permanently glued to the floor. Faes next, please.

I recall a tackle he made on Sadio Mane that was absolutely brilliant.

Only after after giving the ball away under no pressure at all.
