Emil Riis joins on 4 year deal - Official

[Gamble92]

If his goal stands and he has a goal and assist there’s no way he gets any of this criticism. It’s mad how much these player threads go from competition winner jibes to unfathomable hyperbole.

I don’t think there’s a better striker at this level.

He’s an absolute finisher and he’s playing in a team that (last two games prior to Luton aside) is trying to knock it round the back for half an hour before getting it anywhere near the box.

If Martin goes and we get even just a moderately sensible manager, Riis will thrive in this league.

Riis is fine, not the problem

[Kinowe Soorie]

He doesn’t move much, does very little pressing. Just an observation.

I like him and it's nice to have someone that is clearly a good finisher but reckon there's a few strikers he's currently sat behind in the league

[Tiny earl]

Probably as good as we could get for 2 million but for me,his control is average and he lacks aggression.

In fact yesterday, when we played a bit more direct, he didn’t challenge their central defenders at all!

Equalled Ayew's tally for last season already

Very good signing and I think he'll get better

[Rubbersoul]

He’ll get 20+ goals

[South Shire Fox]

Player of the season so far alongside Alves imo

[Chicken Nugent]

Bagsman

[LCFCCKEANO]

He’s what we need because he is not an amazingly gifted player at all but his biggest and main attribute is he finishes his dinner. No messing about, if he sees a shooting opportunity he just hits it and I really think we have missed that directness up front for a while

[Muzzy_no7]

Our first complete striker

[Mark 'expert' Lawrenson]

Fingers crossed he never gets injured or suspended.

I think I've said it before but I really, really like him. His attitude is spot on, his work rate is there but it's backed up by being physical, good technique AND can score goals!!!

We've being needing him for years!!!

I'm actually surprised ayew got that many!

[TeamRocket]

Glad we found someone who's doing well in this team. Just worried we dont have a good back up to him.

We started last season with Ayew up front. Shocking to think that we could probably have had some honest, Championship level, striker at a fraction of the cost and in all probability stayed in the league

Eh? He's always on the move and presses from the front, holds up the ball well and finishes like a striker. What on earth do you watch? Ayew highlights.

[Nolucklcfc]

Think Ayew offered more personally.

[Ric Flair]

Atrocious tonight bar his two goals, Alves put some lovely crosses and through balls in to him that he made a pigs ear of, but great to have a striker who will score regularly for us. Been ages.

His overall play wasn’t great tonight but still scored 2 because he got himself into good positions. Probably our most important player now.
