Atrocious tonight bar his two goals, Alves put some lovely crosses and through balls in to him that he made a pigs ear of, but great to have a striker who will score regularly for us. Been ages.

I wouldn’t say he was atrocious apart from the goals..isolated and overworked, maybe?

He’s what we need because he is not an amazingly gifted player at all but his biggest and main attribute is he finishes his dinner. No messing about, if he sees a shooting opportunity he just hits it and I really think we have missed that directness up front for a while

Yeah he reminds me of Ian Marshall in that respect.

Defo tired. There was about four/five gassed at 60. Martin not really shuffling his pack when he can

Would be useful if we had an actual striker on the bench to bring on

Would’ve been a good game to introduce Bristric off the bench

Bobby was useless/headless up front. Annoyingly a penalty would have been brilliant for Bristric. Needs to be on the bench.

Definitely an upgrade on Ayew and Daka. When he gets the ball in the final third, he does instantly make strides forward and takes a decent pop at goal when he gets that yard of space. Without his goals, we would may as well even forget about top half this season.

I do think his all round game is lacking but he will score goals, in decent positions and often puts them away. Think if we had a decent manager he'd get 25+.

7 goals and 1 assists in 9 games

Nice to finally have a striker again that actually knows where the goal is, not bothered that he can be quiet in games (before then scoring) or have a poor first touch (it is actually quite good sometimes)

Should definitely be getting at least 20 for us this season

He’s missed 7 big chances as well

For all our faults we do actually make chances for him

irrelevant whether the bloke passes the eye test, atm he has got 7 in 9. He is probably on for 25 goals this season, some people never happy 😆

you could flip this on it's head and argue he has done well to give himself those chances, think i have seen Bristric have on or two chances in 5 games

Not comparing him to Haaland, but how often does Haaland do nothing all game and miss loads of chances but still ends up scoring

It wasn’t a criticism of him. He’ll end up scoring plenty, was just saying he could easily have 10 already!

Agree with you that his touch is not that bad normally. Think his general play is fine, he's just had a couple of off games with it. Bear in mind that he's had a few poor goalscoring seasons in the championship amongst his good ones, yet has still played loads. Tells you that there's more to him than just scoring.

Not going to be perfect, if he was better at certain things he wouldn't be playing in League 1 but he's got a goalscorer attitude and will pick up goals like his first yesterday but just being in the right place.
