Jonezy Posted 5 September Posted 5 September Bobby is bound to score surely and excited to see Riis and the youngsters again. But no Kangasniemi is a bit of a let down. The clean sheet against Plymouth was more luck than skill. Come on Leicester. An early goal to settle nerves would be nice.

brookfox Posted 5 September Posted 5 September I imagine Burns will look a lot better with Riis in the middle. Looks like an old fashioned winger, one touch to create space and get the cross in. If I’m Riis I’m happier with him on the wing than Howell, but let’s see how it works and out on the pitch! 1

Burns style of play requires the ball being played ahead quickly and him getting support for overlaps. That was bread and butter at Ipswich. That’s why he does seem like an odd choice for Martin, someone at the end of his tail end career having to adapt from what he is good at, to something he isn’t. Reid will create more counter attacks because of his inability to control the ball than shots on target.

All the chances he has had and not even got on target, we could've been out of sight in these games and then not have to worry about the clowns trying to playing out the back so much.

No proper central midfielder again, so I guess that means the full 90 for Page and Braybrooke again. Doyle instantly makes the bench over Cullen; suggests Martin hasn’t been too impressed by the later so far. O’Hora over ‘Kang’ - which makes sense, but that has to feel like a kick in the teeth for the young lad. Given Jakub’s injury is still fresh in the memory, Raviozzoli on the bench was probably nailed on today - but I’m sure there will come a time when Martin will be tempted to go keeperless.
