Why would anyone entrust the current lot to make the decision in the first place? There’s far bigger issues than the manager, as has been shown over the last three, if not more, years.

New owners by the end of September and they’ll either keep Martin for momentum (feels unlikely) or they’ll bring their own manager in. Red Bull Leicester don’t lose 4-0 at home to Oxford

Every manager we appoint will be vetted to ensure they continue the same appalling football the previous manager played.

 

It's the same formation with every manager.

 

The same weaknesses. The same errors.

 

I went to say Challinor but just know I'd be sat here in November following another 4-2-3-1 68% possession comfortable home loss thinking **** him off too.

 

Martin is obviously an absolute joke and should genuinely retire / go into another profession. But he is just simply what they want. It's an easy transition for him.

 

Any manager who would reject their nonsense would never be considered. Probably why it takes them so long to get anybody in in the first place.

 

Force the twats at the top out. However it takes.

I'd wait for the club to be sold before making any further decisions.  And then it would depend on who is avaliable at the time.  If I had to choose now, then...? Oh no... Argh...

2 of the last 3 sackings have come somewhat out of the blue, both Cifuentes and Cooper were sacked off the back of a very poor home defeat/performance and quite early on in their tenure’s. 
 

I think the hierarchy actually allow the mood music and the atmosphere/reaction of the crowd to sway decisions, I wouldn’t be shocked in the slightest if in the next 24 hours it is announced that they have pulled the trigger. 
 

The club is up for sale they can ill afford to be languishing in the bottom half to bottom 6 of league one, they needed to be flying high and a bit of feel good factor to help keep potential investors interested and at the highest possible price. 
 

make no mistake yesterday was a crushing defeat, to be humiliated in that way at home in league one, has to go down as the single worst defeat in our history, a new low and what is concerning is the reaction of the manager who has called out the younger players. 
 

It will be expensive to sack him and i am not saying it will definitely happen nor it has happen but i have a feeling in my gut that panic stations will set in and they will act quickly to try and protect the value of any potential sale

Just thinking about the cost of sacking him - if the cost of not going up is administration then you’ve nothing to lose by sacking him.  unless you believe that he’ll turn it around and sadly this lot would believe the earth is flat if pep said it. 

the sale is an extra problem - you want stability rather than chaos. changing coach looks like panic and that is very much chaos.  There are still 41 games to go - I think the sale aspect means he stays more than he goes,  but if the sale looks like it’s not happening then I agree they’ll pull the plug quickly (or if a agreed buyer says they won’t want him anyway).

Problem is they’ve built an entire squad for a certain brand of football. Now we are stuck with it. So even with another manager, it’ll be be same bullshit style.

You would like to think that given their hopeless record in appointing managers, Top and Rudkin would have inserted some minimum requirement in Martin's contract. Something that triggers a less costly pay-off if we are not, for example, in the top six come December.

I think the club is so ****ed at every level that yet another manager change only adds to our problems. There is immense psychological pressure on everyone to perform because of the club not belonging at this level on historical basis/size of club. That is on top of our already shite environment and mindset from last season, and massive flux of players. 
 

I don’t like Martin, never wanted him appointed, but the most sensible move right now is probably to sit tight. We don’t get promoted this year with or without him imo. But it’s probably marginally more likely to come with stability than more chop and change. 
 

Someone has to be given time to try and change players mentalities, and try to build an environment (basically start from scratch) that a team can actually perform in, because everything is broken, and clearly has been for years.

Won't be the case. No football manager would accept that. Because they can lose their job on a whim they always want a nice payout written into the contract. If Martin is bagged, he will be in for a nice wedge. 

 

Hes made quite a bit of money being sacked early by football clubs.

As always you make some really valid points, I do wonder though just how much damage yesterday will have done. RM

was always one disastrous result away from being under serious pressure from the fanbase, he had that with Burton Albion, and MK wasn’t exactly the barnstorming response he needed, Tuesday offered some brief respite, but yesterday wow, the optics of a very empty ground at 0-4 down and the impact that could have on future attendances at such a critical time could be be the driving force that means the ownership have to take the gamble and sack him sooner rather than later. 
 

They need the ground to be full and bouncing as that will be a key factor in the sale, a half empty ground of negativity and toxicity will not help one iota.

You’re probably giving them too much credit . These are 2 of the least pragmatic individuals ever to run a football club and their  approach of making the same mistakes over and over expecting a different result is the definition of madness
