Two of our upcoming Sky Bet League One fixtures have been postponed due to international call-ups.

Upcoming Sky Bet League One fixtures against Wigan Athletic and Blackpool postponed

Postponements due to at least three of our players being called up during the international window

Fixtures against Fulham Under-21s and Stevenage in the EFL Trophy will still go ahead as planned

Our home match against Wigan Athletic on Saturday 26 September and the scheduled trip to Blackpool on Saturday 3 October are the games affected, with the first international window of the campaign now spanning two match weekends.

Unlike the Premier League and Sky Bet Championship, the Sky Bet League One programme continues during international match windows. However, EFL rules allow postponements to be requested if at least three players are called up for senior, Under-21, Under-20 or Under-19 international duty.

Further information about potential match postponements during 2026/27 international windows is available HERE.

The EFL Trophy matches at home to Fulham Under-21s (22 September) and away to Stevenage (6 October) will still take place as planned.

Please note, ticket sales are on hold, with new dates to be announced accordingly. All tickets purchased for the Wigan Athletic and Blackpool fixtures will remain valid for the rearranged date.

2 weeks to fvck about and then sack him a day before our next league game.

And even that will be 14 seconds too late

"Tickets are now on hold" as if they're doing people a favour.

You could purchase tickets for both games all the way up until that announcement came out lol I was on the Blackpool page just before 3pm

Blackpool do. The announcement on their website says that the game has been postponed due to their number of international call ups. They've postponed their other fixture during the international break.

Wigan don't.

If we get thumped against Stockport and don’t win against Barnsley, you’d think he has to go right !

This would provide a good period to bed a new manager in.

This would be brilliant only if our incompetent board could already see it wasn’t working and were already shortlisting managers that they could get straight in. Otherwise we will piss around like usual and at worst keep him hanging around like a bad smell should we lose again.

We're quite clearly not going to play a single game during international windows this season - Our England youth internationals alone are enough to request a postponement let alone Souttar, Cullen, Reid, Bristric, Kangasniemi or even more who might spawn a call up. Understand they have to go through their processes but it will all be a bit tedious.

If they have any sense they'll spend that two weeks trying to get these lads match fit but they'll instead spend it dicking around trying to teach McCarthy how to pass the ball to Luke Thomas.

It'll be interesting to see which England youth internationals get a call up.

I'd imagine Page, Aluko and Joseph.

Wouldn't Alves and Braybrook be too old? Then again I doubt either would get into 21s.

He has to get 6 points from those games and even then I would celebrate his sacking.

I believe if they postpone one they have to postpone both.

Braybrooke and Alves young enough for the 21's but probably unlikely. Joseph young enough for the U20s so in with a pretty good shout you'd think. Page, Aluko would be nailed on, Doyle and Watson have previous at U20 level so also a very good chance. McFarlane U19.

You’re not far off I don’t think.

Forgot Howell. McFarlane, Page, Howell and Aluko would be the four bankers for England youth sides that would force a postponement alone.
